You know, I think it's a wonderful opportunity for people to get this software for free--it makes it possible for people to enjoy 3D art who couldn't afford the steep price tags.  I am not embittered by other's getting some things I paid for for nothing, I think it's nice and it knocks my socks off how much good content people give away for free--like Antonia for instance.

I do want to say Daz has been very good to me over the years and I'm not complaining about anything.  Nope, not a thing.

I'm always buying content and having it go on sale or in Prime a week later. Haven't asked for my money back yet. But I can understand people being upset. In these times, many people have to scrimp and save to have extra money  for their hobbies. Nonetheless, crap happens.

Despite being interested in Genesis, I probably wouldn't have gotten DS4 pro. I appreciate the gesture from Daz, and backed up with an initial purchase of Genesis content. Shortly afterward, they issued a coupon.

At work, I spend my time keeping people alive and helping them get better. I'd prefer to keep the drama out of my hobby. Getting harder to do, these days. Drama is everywhere.

I guess we have all purchased something only to find that it is on sale sometime later, that's life.  I think the difference here is the announcement that the product would not be subject to a massive cut in price.  Many would have purchased anyway, but some potential purchasers, who may have held on for a while, may have purchased it on the basis of that information.  I know some will say that there is new management but it does not take much a of a leap of imagination to understand that some may be of the opinion they were conned.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Quote - 3D software does not produce anything that could be deem essential to ones life ,it is all just about  some fleeting visual entertainment.

Life without Poser? ;(

I do think that "fleeting visual entertainment" is a bit harsh--3D graphics are, after all, an artistic media.  The renders we do mean something to us, whether we make money off them or not.  If one draws and paints instead of doing computer artwork one most likely would keep ones artwork or frame it or something--I know I have sketches I made when I was in my 20s and they are still important to me--as are my 3D pictures I've done for over a decade.
