I've seen two additions to EZSkin.xml for Angela and Terrai Yuki 2. How about we use this thread to post any further additions so folks know where to come for them?? Or has this been done elsewhere already?
I'm reposting the two shared by others so that they're in this thread:

'sclera' is spelt wrong in the Terai Yukai XML.
Thanks for this SteveJax - this thread could be a timesaver for many,

"Horns" shader="ignore" can be exchanged for "Horns" shader="Teeth" if you want them to be shinier. The SSS scaling can be reduced on the WingMembrane.
SteveJax posted Sat, 04 February 2012 at 7:23 PM
I did this one for James but since the faceroomSkin material isn't in the OBJ it get's ignored so if your James has been materially modified in the faceroom you'll just need to cut and paste the head nodes to the faceroomSkin. This of course will happen to any figure that's been materially modified in the faceroom.

That's good to know. I don't think I have her. Here's what I did to P6 James. Clothing is called Immortals from, I think, Content Paradise. There's no readme in the zip file it came in and I can't remember for sure where I bought it. I made some XML MetaData file with MetaDataBuilder while I was at it but listed Content Paradise as the copyright holder since that's about all my vague memory and no readme could produce. 1 point light IDL and RDNA's SkyDome that came with Poser.

Ok, here's what I've got so far, I assumed a few things about the DAZGEN3 figures, IE: They used all the same material names...I haven't tested them all.

Anyway ...
EZSkin doesn't have a home page as such yet, but it is coming. I'll be sure to add these XML files to the page.
EZSkin already supports DAZ Gen 3 figures so I'm a bit surprised to see XML support for them too? Not that it matters, but if the DAZ Gen 3 support built into EZSkin isn't working then just say why and I'll fix it.
To help you guys, I've attached a text file contining some of the EZSkin source code. It shows all the internal definitions in EZSkin 1.6.4. It might help to avoid any duplications.
Keep up the good work - this is all helping to make EZSkin more useful!

That's what I get for not reading the readme, but since I saw the DAZGEN3 listed in the original XML file I just thought I'd add the rest of the family. Am I correct in guessing that James is also hiding in the PYC compiled code? When I I ran the script the first time with my additions it didn't recognise JamesHiRes as JamesHiRes but simply as James, which made me wonder if his listing was hiding in the original code somewhere. Ahhh..Ok, just looked at the PDF file for the first time and see all of the already supported figures.
PS - I notice for the G2 figures you have Koji & Sydney listed, The G2 males all share the same mappings as do the females. They should be easy enough to add to the compiled code if all you need is the names of the OBJ files I can tell you those.

Pokeydots, looking at it again I am wondering it it would be best to change the eye zones to the iris shader. I am still experimenting with setting up these so any suggestions are welcome and change as you see fit. I'm finding the eyes the most difficult too but I am gradually working through my character runtimes.
By the way, has anyone got the Koshini one working correctly? It gaves me an error about one of the zones. If I redo this one and place it in the xml file, which one will the script look at when it sets up the shaders?
SteveJax posted Tue, 07 February 2012 at 6:25 PM
I would think if you're over writing the one that gives you errors with the corrected one, that the correction will load if you're reloading the script from scratch. You may have to leave Poser and reopen it if the old script is stuck in memory.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with writing an XML definition for a supported figure. Your definition will override the built-in one and may be more suitable for you than the one I made internally. This is especially true of the eye regions.

But there is a little script that reads the figure and returns the material zones. However, manually assigning the shaders is a matter of personal taste and practicality. It would be a bigger headache to undo a wrong assignment.

No it wouldn't. It's just a text file and you'd only have to change maybe one or two wrong assignments in most cases being the cornea/eye material zones.

Is it possible in the next version of EZSkin to allow for some wildcard in the obj name for the target figure?
Genesis uses a random name for its obj file in the style of "Genesis_long_random_number.obj" which is different for each export.
The material zones are almost identical to V4 except it is missing 1_EyeSocket, 1_EyeBrow and 7_EyeSurface. If you use a material collection from V4 into genesis and choose not to add new material zones it will actually work. I use this trick now to get EZSkin to genesis (save mc of genesis to library, apply to a v4, EZskin it, save as mc and apply this to genesis). It would be nice to be able to do this directly

I've released a minor update to EZSkin (v1.7.1)
The ezskin.xml file can now include one or more instances of a new tag:
Obviously, replace the folder path with a real one!
EZSkin will search for the folder specified, find all the xml files that it contains and add the contents of each to its database of figures (the xml files can have any name, so long as they have an '.xml' extension).
You can have as many
So, it's no longer necessary to have one huge ezskin.xml file containing gadzillions of figure definitions (but you can if you want).
Thank you to Netherworks for this cool idea.

Is it at the regular download link in your forum? I've been adding the version numbers to each zip when I download them. IE: EZSkin1.7.1.zip
And Thanks! Looking forward to playing with multiple XML's.

It is.
I need to keep the name of the zip constant as it is linked to directly by some other sites.

Ok little help please. I have just got around to installing this latest version.
I cannot get it to work with an external folder. Created a folder on my C: drive in a Temp Folder called 'MyEZSkinXMLfiles'

When I load the mill Cat and run EZSkin it gives me an error - EZSkin v1.7.1 says oops! and the tells me I have selected an unsupported figure.
Tried with UG too with the same result.
Any suggestions as to which step I have got wrong/missed? Thanks

Create a folder and put your xml files in it.
In your main runtime python find the EZSkin folder. In there is a xml file called ezskin.
Open it with a text editor and insert a line just above the first object call as below

I'll just mention this too: EZSkin 2 no longer uses XML files for figure definitions (but includes legacy support for them). It also has a built-in editor to help you add support for figures without having to reach for a text editor :-)

Hi:)
I am trying to add the remapped Kids4 into Ezskin since I am using them more than the Kids4
I have NO Idea how to get about it.
I opened Poser, load the Remapped Kids4 and then went to scripts /Figure Mats and got this
Figure name: The Kids 4
Object file: KidsV4UVs.obj
'Class' : {
"1_EyeSocket" : "ignore", "1_Eyebrow" : "ignore", "1_Lip" : "ignore", "1_Nostril" : "ignore", "1_SkinFace" : "ignore", "2_Nipple" : "ignore", "2_SkinHead" : "ignore", "2_SkinHip" : "ignore", "2_SkinNeck" : "ignore", "2_SkinTorso" : "ignore", "3_Fingernail" : "ignore", "3_SkinArm" : "ignore", "3_SkinFoot" : "ignore", "3_SkinForearm" : "ignore", "3_SkinHand" : "ignore", "3_SkinLeg" : "ignore", "3_Toenail" : "ignore", "4_Gums" : "ignore", "4_InnerMouth" : "ignore", "4_Teeth" : "ignore", "4_Tongue" : "ignore", "5_Cornea" : "ignore", "5_Iris" : "ignore", "5_Lacrimal" : "ignore", "5_Pupil" : "ignore", "5_Sclera" : "ignore", "6_Eyelash" : "ignore", "7_EyeSurface" : "ignore", "7_Tear" : "ignore", "Preview" : "ignore", }
Is this what is needed and if yes, how the heck do I do it.
I am new to all this and I so love the effects of Ezskin and use it ALL THE TIME.
Your help is greatly apreciated.

Even though I had the current documentation I think I actually had an older version installed in my 2012 folder. I have both 2010 and 2012 installed and thought that I had placed the current version in both runtimes.
I know this is easy for most of you but for us older folks...it's really confusing! LOL

Is there a gen 4 version?
Yes, I know it's built in, but I want to add the converted Genesis obj to EZSkin so that I don't have to have an MT6 of every single character texture +/- the various versions (fresnel, yes/no, etc, etc). Seems easier to have an xml edit for every Genesis obj than one for every character skin.

EZSkin v2 has a figure editor:
EZSkin now allows you to use unsupported figures, which a Genesis export always appears to be. You can then just use the dropdown box labelled 'Use figure definition' to pick the DAZ Gen 4 definition and you're good to go!
