Some of the 'reset' poses from the libraries now reside in my favourites folder for quicker access.. But if I wanted to remove an item from my favourites, the query dialogue leads me to believe that it will also remove it from the libraries folder where it came from,.. is this correct?
If I created a folder in the "favourites" and wish to remove it or rename it, how do I do that? I'm at a loss on this one. One typo or wrong click and I have a folder where I don't want one.. ergh..
Thanks in advance.

First: What version and service release of Poser are you talking about?
Second: Instead of interpreting what it says, could you please type what it says?
Because my copy clearly states the opposite of what you claim - it leads you to believe that it will also remove it from the libraries folder where it came from.
When I try to delete a favorite item, it says "The reference to 'whateverItem.pp2.lnk' will be deleted. The original item will remain. Are you sure you want to do this?"
That leads me to believe the original item will remain, and not also be removed.
As for deleting or renaming, SM decided not to open that can of worms. Just go into file manager, which has tons of code to deal with all the peculiar things that could lead to, and do it there. Then refresh the Poser library using the refresh buttons.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

If you didn't know about the details panel, you should probably read the manual - it's worth reading. Chapter 7.

I'll ask a question too.
Is there a quick way to open an image map in a graphics editor (PS for example) straight from Poser. eg. I want to make a quick adjustment to an object's texture map, I can see the path in the Material Room, but I can't seem to be able to open or copy/paste the path. I think this can be done, somehow.

Nope. No direct link to a 2d program editor.
