Let's see if I understand correctly... Jeroni posted the moon and he has asked the sun... I placed the setting sun and I ASK the STARS... okay so the game? :-)

MrsLubner posted Fri, 17 February 2012 at 12:44 PM

Now someone needs to post a star photo of some sort... anything featuring stars...

I published the starfish to show that there was no need to put pictures of stars in the sky!
However, if I make another request and to stay in theme with starfish, I ASK the SEA!

Have a good Sunday! :-)

Pete, thanks for the explanations and for the link that I saved to my  favourites! As you know, my English is not very good and I don't know some terms! :-)

BIPOLARTWO posted Thu, 01 March 2012 at 10:50 AM

I am Scottish and my English is terrible-We often forget that we are speaking to people from different countries and that the expression's we use may in actual fact be offensive to other's - Whereas i am probably the worse person who does so as i have a tendency to speak before i think.

I will think carefully how i use sentences and remember to not use expressions that obviously other's would not understand.

Here i would now be called Numbnut's because of my silliness which is defined as---

The stupidest of the stupid. A complete dumbass, one whose intelligence quotient does not surpass that of the average rock.

Here this may be regarded as a natural statement but as you will see it may not tonone Scottish nation's

Here is a page called the urban dictionary which will show you some of the stupid sentences that many people use this side of the world...

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=numbnuts

emmecielle posted Thu, 01 March 2012 at 11:10 AM

Pete, I have not offended by the phrase that you wrote for two reasons:
1 ° - Why I did not understand the meaning of words! ;-)
2° - Even if I had known, I would be to the joke! I like to joke and laugh with friends! :-)
Even here there are some phrases that might be offensive, but we use them affectionately! You can safely use all the phrases you want, just tell me though that means! :-)

A hug, dear Numbnut! ;-)

I just realized that nails (those that are planted on the wall with the hammer) and nails (the ones that you've added) are written in the same way!
I'm sorry! Here is a difficulty in not knowing English well! :-(

dochtersions posted Mon, 05 March 2012 at 5:30 AM

LOL, Maria, I immediately thought that you meant the nails which fitting the hammer.
But, this is so much more beautifully, don't you think too?.
Pete, you really have beautiful nails ;-), and hands too :D

emmecielle posted Mon, 05 March 2012 at 2:13 PM

That is the beauty of the little knowledge about of languages! I thought after seeing the photo of Pete that nails (which are planted on the wall) also meant nails (hands)!
In fact, the nails and the hands of Pete are really wonderful!  ;-D
