It was made by a guy who went by the name of alphauser. I don't think he sells here any more. He and I had several frank exchanges of views over this very item.
Not to put too fine a point on it, I wasn't too happy with the model when I bought it. There are several errors in the model, including holes in the mesh. I merely asked if he would be updating it at any point in the future.
I can't say anything more because it would probably be a TOS violation.

Thank you so much!

Just a thought...
The item will be in your purchase history here.
BTW, the name of the creator is actually alphauser51. The item is called Space Helmet Prop with Textures.
According to my account I bought it in 2004 - 19 Oct - and paid $15.00.

Yeah I found it right where you said. And the reason I couldnt remember where I got it (so long ago) was also realized when I saw the 2004! date too. Checked and you're you were right, he's long gone from this site.
Thanx again!

One very much like it (could be the same one) is sold at the site eclipse studios. Look under poser props and figures. Not too shaby for its time, but yes there were some errors in the model. There are some things that could have been updated which isn't too hard to do if you take it into a modeler.

I believe it's the same model. IIRC, he started selling motion sets here, prior to setting up shop elsewhere.
At the time, I couldn't model to save my life so I was pretty much stuck with the thing as is. It did, however, prompt me to learn how to build models so it wasn't a total loss.
@ nitegrafix - thanks for the comments in my gallery. :)
