Ok, what started out as what I thought a problem with only one model, has actually turned into a problem with multi-ones. For some reason, Poser can't find some of my Geometries folders. Some things load fine, other don't. This is the case with things that have always worked in the past. I've reinstalled poser, and nothing. I'm ready to lose control and take a hammer to the computer. Can someone tell me what's going on? It seems to have all started when I tried to put Latexa folders where they belonged. Nothing was renamed, and like I said, poser finds many things, but others it can't. No rhyme or reason for which ones it can't either. Please Please Please help.... Thanks a very very frustrated Dragontales

Update - it seems that the only geometry files it can't find are ones that belong to new style characters, like azura and latexa. I'm not sure about latexa, but I know azura is a figure completely built from scratch and it bends and moves differently. It is these geometries that poser can't find. Again any help is greatly appreciated Dragontales

Are they in the right folders?? That's what I've had happen in the past when I didn't put the geometries in the folders named exactly as the creator stated. Just a thought.

your geometry .rsr files may simply be corrupt. simply deleting them and letting poser rewrite them may help. (only the geometry .rsr's though) hope this is all it is, and that this helps :) cheers! Styxx

Whew...thanks. it was the .rsr files. However It still doesn't seem to want to find Latexa. Something must be wrong with the files. What I can't figure out is why it messes up the Azura.rsr, which is in an entirely different folder, when it can't find Latexa.obj. I did what you said, deleted the .rsr for both, and loaded up Azura fine. then when i tried latexa, I got the error. I then tried to load up Azura again, and bam...error. Anyway, thanks for your help, at least I'm back on track again. As for Latexa, she'll have to wait. :) Dragontales

Try inpirting the mesh as an .obj directly from the geometry folder it is in. If it imports fine then the cr2 file is pointing somwhere else. Either way, your system is ok it's the program that it having a problem. But that will tell you weather or not the obj file is in good shape at least. If the obj file is bad, it wont import. -Gabe-

The CR2 may also be pointing to the wrong spot. PPP will make new OBJ files and stick them into other directories if you use the group tool.

set the rsr's that work to read only.. that prevents them from being rewritten. Less chance of corruption. Make sure the obj file is in the right folders. i have found files where the path is Poser4/Runtime Instead of Poser 4/Runtime (space between poser and 4) also curious labs instead of Metacreations. check the paths. to make sure the obj is in the right folder. hope that helps Storm
