There are a lot of products of almost every shape and form imagineable out there for Poser and its figures. I first became aquainted with 3D modeling only a couple years ago. I generally use it for creating graphics for computer games which I play. These are personal enhancements to existing computer games that I like to make. I'm not a professional game designer or anything remotely close. So Poser plays a very practical purpose in my life.

Not knowing much about the 3D industry I am curious, what do others use Poser for? Why do you use 3D software? I see a lot of really strange but interesting Poser content in the Renderosity Marketplace and I cannot for the life of me figure out what people actually do with it? 

Since I am aspiring to create and sell products myself here it may help me to become a better vendor if I knew what people were doing with all this stuff. Plus I'm really curious.
