I know Renderosity has a facebook page - so check there
Any other Poser users have facebook pages where they discuss poser or CG at all? I'd kinda like to up my connection level these days - maybe help to keep my head where it needs to be as I make my return to work.
Anyone want to direct me to their page or even send me PM with their info that would be awesome.
Thanks.

I'm usually posting on FB my off hour sculpting or 2D artwork. I don't usually post anything Poser related on FB unless I'm re-posting something the company's promoting. I do, however, post up the occassional inspirational artwork or animation that I stumbled accross there. Actually, I usually post more on the Manga Studio FB page then any of our other pages.

opportunity to mention, in re: FB, that some employers are now asking for applicants' facebook "keys" in order to view their private profiles for any evidence of inappropriate pictures, illegal conduct or underage relationships. whilst this is a temporary glitch that will soon be quashed as a privacy violation (I ain't a lawyer), some employers may not understand poser users' tendency to render nudie pix, which are "situation normal" for us.

What? when did the OP ask any of that? LOL. Oh, and any employer that wants to see my private FB page can go suck large...things.
There are a lot of us on Facebook, some discuss Poser on their pages, some don't. All the big MPs have a FB page I think - RO, Daz, RDNA, etc, etc. :).

I am told (albeit 2nd hand) by someone employed by our provincial government that certain Canadian ministries (beyond law enforcement) have access to sections of Facebook profiles that one would normally think restricted. (e.g. they can see everything as though you have "friended" them even if your privacy settings limit views to specific individuals). It would not surprise me to find out that this is true, or that other governments have similar access to their citizens'/residents' profiles as a matter of course.

And this and for other reasons that you couldn't pay me to open a Facebook page.

I just read about the employment thing yesterday. Sadly, I think Miss Nancy is right. If I were looking for a job (esp. around kids), I'd be leery of any association with NVIATWAS; or worry that clueless employer asking about Poser would hear that it's used to do "porn" :-) Not to spoil the party but it is something to consider in today's 'privacy is obsolete' society.

yep Google is now using your browsing prefs, most facebook apps i consider to be invasions of privacy, heck i'm pretty sure there is a dept at microsoft that browses the InPrivateBrowsing of users, and if you've ever run black ice defender and seen the multi hack attempts from various places you'd never connect again, i use facebook to keep in contact with the odd friend, heck i've got almost 30 fb friends and i know most of em....pmsl

*how about we take the Privacy conversation to a new thread and not hijack the request the OP made? they did'nt mention privacy at all. they wanted to know who talks about poser on facebook. *
be polite ppl. think how you'd feel if someone popped up in a request you made and derailed it with something that was only just connected.

Khai is right here. We don't need to discuss the risks of Facebookin a thread asking for information.
The pages of the larger Poser sites have already been mentioned, I'm not aware of another Poser page. I don't post that much on Facebook, so I'm not a big source either.

lol - well actually I was looking for individuals from the Poser forum here. As in: If you discuss 3d on facebook, send me your info, we can discuss together :)
But thank you for suggesting the bigger stores anyway. I will look them up.

Sometimes I post imagery on Facebook. I have several fans of my books who occasionally comment on the images I post, but no one else I know on Facebook uses the program, so there's never any technical discussion of what I do.
