Subject: Product title should indicate for which figure it is

wimvdb ( ) posted Sat, 31 March 2012 at 11:06 AM · edited Sun, 08 December 2024 at 2:54 PM

I find it extremely irritating that new products are in the marketplace which are generically named and meant exclusively for a single figure type.

If a product is for V4/A4 or for V3/A3 or any other figure it is or should be mentioned in the title or thumbnail. Why not for genesis only products?

What is so difficult about that?

This isn't required in the title but it is listed in the product requirements as well as the department it is in. If you want to see items for a specific figure you can go to that department and you will see items that are for that figure.

Thanks

Stacey

I know it is in the product requirements. I know you can select on a single department.

That is not the point.

I buy items from a number of departments and I always use the what's new page.

The department where it belongs to is NOT in the main What's New page. So if the name does not mention what it is for you have to click on it to open the product and read the requirements. It is the ONE thing which I hate about the DAZ store and it used to be OK in the Renderosity store and it is now disappearing.

What is so difficult about mentioning the department or mentioning the intended audience on the main page?

I'll talk to the other admin but I'm really not sure this is something we will be doing as there is already a lot of information that is definitely needed under the thumbnail. And we do have the departments which are listed out with the newest products first so if someone is wanting to see What's New for a specific figure that is easy enough by going to the department.

I will bring it up though.

Just to clarify

If I open the "What's New Page" or similar type of general page, I want to see in a glance if it is a product which I can use - either via description/title, thumbnails or department listed under the title. Which is not the case now

Clicking every thumbnail to check oif this is something I am interested in, is very irritating. From a thumbnail you cannot see if it is a mesh, 2d product, a texture set or a hair style. There is no (enforced) way to see this.

If you need to go by department you will miss a lot of potential products and therefore no sales of these products

If I see a lot of products of which I have no idea what it is, I get irritated when I need to click on the thumbnail to see if it is a product I can use. I am pretty sure I am not the only one

As I stated previously I will bring this up to the team and we will evaulate if this is something to put as a priority on our list. We look at several things to determine whether this needs to be a priority on our list such as how many customers request.

Thank you for the suggestion, we will review this
