Hi,
I've been having a few problems with this Tutorial, it seems there are quite a few steps missing.
Now I think I've managed to figure out what the author did for one of the missing steps where they are using a Transparent Rainbow Gradient, but when they copy that layer (and their instructions for copying that layer didn't work, [ctrl+click] so I might not have got that right either) they say:
Now that bit about 'create oval selection and remove this area from shape':
(http://alfoart.com/strawberry_phone_2.html it's on page 2) they don't explain how to do that, they just say 'do it'.
Can anyone tell me how I do that?
This oval selection appears to be just under the gradient overlay in the layers styles - but I can't see how to get the selection into that position either.
Can anyone help?

You can make your oval selection anywhere on your document and then you can move it wherever you want with the arrow keys. For "remove this area from shape", once you're done positioning your selection, click "delete".

Good grief! as simple as that is it? Just click 'delete'? wow!
Thanks very much Lucie,
I've never done that before, so I'd best go off and try it now.
