Hello,
I faintly remember that, when PoserPro2012 was released, someone mentioned that we could now apply (gaussion?) blur filters to textures. This would be indeed useful, for example, to smooth a tile node texture used as a bump or displacement map.
Forum search always links to something related to the reflect node, for example here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=3872092&ebot_calc_page#message_3872092
Is my memory flawed and blurred reflection (or more specifically the improved render speed on that) are really the new feature, or is there something else I'm missing?
What I would like to have is a possibility to process any color or float channel (node output) through a blur filter and use that filtered output then. In my opinion this cannot be done with the regular math nodes, because the blur would need to combine information from adjacent pixels.
Best regards,
Michael
