Trying to return to Poser after an absence of some years, and finding it hard work though enjoyable. Using Poser 6, though with the original Posette figures as I find these perfectly suitable to my needs for the present.  There once were numerous alternatives  to the female figure textures, but these seem to have disapeared with the years.  Most certainly I seem unable to find any.   Can someone please tell me how to remove that ugly hank of pubic hair from the Posette character.    I have totally forgotten how I used to do it.      Regards,     billsoper.

Hope I have correctly fullfilled the requirements of this forum.

Edit the texture in Photoshop/Gimp/PaintshopPro   and save it out with a new name, such as "Posette Shaved" or some such.

Apply the new texture to Posette and there she is, bald as a, er, bald thing.

I'd avoid using the method described in my post yesterday about Men's Hair Removal, though.

Lots and lots of Posette textures here, including Tim Laubach's textures from Happyworldland (if you remember that from back in the day) :). Ya prolly have to register to download freebies, just like most places.

Yup, you do.  And don't tell them you came from here or you'll most likely get banned.  The site owner really has a bug up his ass about Renderosity.

"Ugly hank of pubic hair", there's nothing wrong with a nice fluffy bush, but each to his own.

There are quite a few Posette textures at "Winscape 2001", some of them without pubic hair (eg P4NG53t3k as in image above), you will probably need to set the Defuse_Color to white. It's also the home of "Bigus Dickus" and "Pozers Little Helper".

Many, many thanks for all the helpfull suggestions, and for the reminders of past sites and forgotten abilities.  Very determined to rediscover previous pleasures, and thanks to such helpful atitudes I now know it will be possible.        Would like to say that I found this Renderosity  Forum site purely by chance, having looked for some time at many others that seemed to concentrate on unclear rules spoken in broken pigin English  intersperced with some unknown hieroglyphics of questionable meaning.

Delighted to find that English is still spoken here.      Thanks once again for your great help.

English is sometimes spoken here but not by many and not often. ;)

And it depends if your prefer the Queen's english or good ole USA.

I don't think my vernacular could be called the Queen's English.  Fact is, I don't know of anyone who actually speaks it.  Not even the RP brigade use it, and certainly not old Liz and her crew.

LOL. By definition, surely the Queen speaks Queen's English? ;) Which reminds me that I was court watching (a bit like bird watching, except you're in court, not in the countryside), and we were required to bow in the direction of the coat of arms representing The Crown whenever we entered or left the court room. Amazing that we take Herself so seriously here in Canada! I think I did wave a Union Jack at Her back in 1977 when Her entourage visited Bolton for the silver jubilee. But there was none of this bowing and groveling stuff that we seem so fond of here in the colonies, I mean, commonwealth.

Speaking of "colonies", would you believe tea is one of the very few things that's not taxed here (the United States)? After 225+ years...lol. When it finally does get taxed you'll know we've come full circle :P And I don't believe we've spoken the Queens/Kings english for at least that long...lol. Sometimes I'm not even sure we speak english....

"Delighted to find that English is still spoken here", was not intended to offend any other language I assure you.     It was however a slight critisism of those who genuinely attempt to be helpfull, but for some strange reason fail miserably  to communicate in a way that can be generally understood by all.

Interesting question as to why, don't you think ?           Regards,  Billsoper.
