I'm coming from a 2D background and familiar with file formats and unzipping tools for 2D.
But, now that I'm getting into 3D I need to download and uncompress 3D files such as .7z and .rar.
Are there any good 3D uncompressing tools you would recommend for 3D files such as .7z and .rar for MAC?

The second one down will do .7z (which is 7Zip).
Google is a wonderful thing ;).

I'd recommend Smith Micro's free StuffIt Unarchiver too... works a treat for me and does folder merging too...

Just to note, there is no relationship between the compression format e.g. zip, .rar etc., and the data being compressed. Any of them can be used to compress 2D or 3D files, text, etc.
