PaganEagle2000 (on here) is a master at pixies and faeries... he might get you started if you ask nicely...

Also, see if you can get some help from user danidh. She does some amazing pixies with the kids.
Cute, cute, cute stuff.

Good call, Glitterati3D! Also, isn't there still a site called http://www.faerie-dreams.com/ - they focus on that sort of thing.

Another good suggestion, Robyn!
You might want to decide which figure(s) you want to work with first, then explore what's out there for those figures in the faerie and pixie lines.
Take a look here at vendor Smay's stuff.
Here's a link to his store: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=smay

Can you elaborate some more about what you are trying to do?
Making a pixie is a simple as loading the figure, applying a pixie/faerie morph (or making your own using dials), applying an ear morph (or using the dials), putting on a pixie/faerie style outfit (tons around the poser stores and even free), posing.
There are tons of excellent faerie characters around poserdom. Here, RDNA, Daz, Faeriewylde. Many of them contain whimsical skin textures and make-up to add to the look.

My own personal Pixie has been FRAD Bambi:-
She is gourgeous and I use her all the time for my pics.
Now for Little Pixie, Pixie's daughter I use Penelope for K4:-
Now Pixie also has a boyfriend at the moment called Buddy 2:-
But.... You can use any M4++character and use Bambi's ears morphs!!!
Pixie like a guy with big ears!!!! Don't ask it's a fermale thing and I know it's all myth, but you can't tell her!!! LOL.
You can Use Wings and Things for wings and Flutterbye for the extra textures:-
Now on to the fun thing....... Clothes!!!!!!
My Pixie doesn't normally wear a lot, in fact people get shocked when she wears clothes!!! LOL.
There are so many clothing items that I couldn't make a list of them, but think about the style you want.
Modern, classic, sci fi (Yep Pixies can be sci fi as well. Lol).
Also, get a good set of lights:-
Make you own style and have fun, there are NEVER enough Pixies in the world!!!
Plus you can always use Bella as she has a Pixie size and human size:-
Never be afraid to ask about Pixies!!!! Lol.
All the best.

Now, when you are saving out of Poser:-
Normally, unless you tell it different, Poser will save at 72 dpi. For a higher setting:-
Set up your scene, then Render menu at the top oif the screen.
Select the Render Dimenesions option.
Change ti Render to exact resolution option.
Change the 72 setting to 300.
Selet the OK button.
Now set up your render settings and render.
I hope this has been of use.
All the best.

now..that is where i fail at...i can handle bryce..poser is a bit daunting..even though I fiddle around with it.
Paganeagle..thank you for the links.. I'll go thru them in detail, and then work out which characters I want. Flutterby seems to be the whinsical character I wanted.
I wanted to put them into photographs.. looking over people's shoulders, etc..

TinkerBell is my favorite rendering topic.
Let's see... looks like I have these three packs in R'osity free stuff:
TinkerBell wings dynamic pixie dress conforming pixie dress
Here is a render demo of the wings and dynamic dress (click image to run animation):
I have several freebies at the FaerieWylde, but you'd need to register for the forum in order to be able to access the pages. It would take me a while to track them all down, so I'll have to get back to you on that because I need to go run errands. But FaerieWylde has all of my pixie, Narnia, and LotR elvish stuff posted.
Ummm, I do have TinkerBell's Drive-In Cafe' posted at DAZ; you won't need to register to see that. However, my file hosting service, 4shared, has just changed their terms, so that you have to register with them to download from my 4shared. Otherwise, you get a "file deleted/violated terms of service" notice. This really angers me because I paid for the premium service in order to get "direct linking"; that is, people could simply click a link and the little "save as" prompt box came up (no bewildering web pages, no ads). I'm open to suggestions for a new file host service; I'm in Ohio (USA).
I am in the process of upgrading Tink's Cafe' to take full advantage of P9/PP2012 features.
This pixie dust aura (shown here on Posette) will be a conforming item with an "EZ-posed" tail, but it isn't ready for release yet.

Oh, I forgot that the images in my gallery are nearly all promo renders for freebies. Some have download links.
Remember, though, that 4shared now shows a "file deleted or violated TOS" page unless you are registered with them and log in. I apologise for this. I will be getting another file hosting site (recommendations welcome).

Oh my. There are dozens of things posted in the FaerieWylde, scattered among several themed freebie sub-forum areas. I'll try to duplicate a posting here.
* " Iyov was stuck, and had been for a long time; he could see that the planets and stars moved in orderly ways, but he still could not explain the motion mathematically - there always seemed to be some exception or departure from the paths he predicted.*
* Frustrated and a bit despairing, he went to bed. Tired, he fell asleep, and as the night wore on, a bright moon lit gathering dew on the windows with faint sparkles in an otherwise black night. Suddenly, he awoke - a sound - quiet scuffing and faint thumps, coming from the study. He tossed on some clothes and went to investigate; things had been moved on his desk! Yes, the inkwell had certainly been right against the bookend when he went to bed. But the doors and windows were all secure.*
* Then, he realized that while the inkwell was no longer against the bookend, something else was. He sat in the chair and stared - there was a wee little door beside the bookend. He pulled out the book which was just on the other side, but on that side, the bookend was just a plain wooden bookend, as it always had been.*
* * click **
* The tiny door opened, and light faintly shone out from... inside? And out stepped a tiny woman, moving gracefully and lightly. He marveled at her beauty and the wonder of it all, and so it took a few moments for him to notice that the light was from a forest in bright twilight on the other side of the doorway, with a little path leading to the door. He glanced up at the windows of his house; it was midnight dark outside. His attention bolted back to the tiny lady - she looked up at him, and held forth one hand as if in invitation, and then pointed with the other to his observatory desk across the room. He studied his familiar old work desk, and realized that both his telescope and his armillary instrument had been re-aimed... "*

The faerie door can also be set against the baseboard of a wall; just slide it in far enough to eliminate any gap, but not so far that the "elsewhere/elsewhen" view bubble pokes through the wall. Door opens with Yrot; mailbox lid opens with Zrot - in case you need to leave your muse a request letter (a very small letter!) :P
Exercise prudence in pushing the doorbell.

I've indicated where my stuff is concentrated; too many items to list them all. Of course, I'm just one amongst many freebie makers, so be prepared to download a lot.
Hmmm. OK, the Ghostbuster proton pack is a bit of an outlier in this genre.
