I suspect I already know the answer to this, but I could be wrong. I would like to inject settings into the cloth room (fold resistance, etc.) so that people that use dynamic cloth can change the settings easily. I don’t think there is any way to do this with a pz2 file.
I think I read about a python script that could do it, but I couldn’t find it and I don’t have the skills to write one myself. If you could point me in the right direction (tutorial, etc.), I would really appreciate it.

You can supply a variety of simulation files, but you can't inject them into the cloth.

has been asked before. You need a script, I guess. With of course the ability to save / load presents, and add settings files to this library. It woud be nice when it can be handled like a MAT though, because it's saved with the figure or prop as well. Then one can assign omething to a piece of cloth that looks like some material, and behaves like that too. Would be great. I would say: start experimenting.

Phil's approach is fine, a good (first) step in the right direction.
And there is a but...
cloth behavior not only depends on the parameter settings but on the mesh structure as well. Tri's behave more like woven cloth (linen), quads behave like non-woven cloth (leather, fleeze, rubber). Large polys behave like thick cloth, small polys behave like thin, far more flexible cloth.
So from a "leather" setiing, you have to start tweaking to get the right one. But Phil gives a decent start.

Very true. It is a great place to start. I have been playing with different polys and you hit it exactly. The larger polys give a very different drape to the cloth than smaller polys. It seems that you get sharper and more distinct creases with larger polys. I’m not sure where this will all lead, but it will be fun getting there.
