Has anyone run into problems with trackball/mouse issues in the DS4 interface?

Here's a couple examples, by the way, I use an HP laptop, and the touch pad works fine in DS4.

Recently, anytime I try to manipulate camera, or any of the XYZ translations, rotations, etc. The cursor will "jump" off of the selection and go to another part of the scene. This happens 99.9% of the time.

I've uninstalled, and reinstalled DS4 twice, uninstalled and reinstalled my Logitech M570 software numerous times, to no avail.

Also, occassionally I run into the missing/invisible cursor, and have to navigate and guess where it's at, then save, exit, restart.

Just wondering if any one else has run into this, and what the solution or fix is. And, this only happens in Studio...no other program.

I have a track ball and I am having no problems. Two things you can do, remove the ball and clean out the area where the ball sits. The lenses can get very dirty, then clean the ball itself. If neither of those work, then my next idea would be to replace the track ball unit, it is unfortunate but they don't last forever.

Thanks  Idgilman for the reply.

I've cleaned it, on a regular basis, and I'd like to believe I don't have to replace it already....it's 2 mos. old, which just replaced my 10 year old trackball. Hmm, I guess the mystery continues.

There are a few exploits that can cause your mouse to act in that way as well.  You may want to Google it for the fixes.

I have fixed this a few times.  I just don't recall where I found the fix at this time.

Do you have another computer that you can put your mouse on to test?? That will tell you right away if it is the mouse or the drivers.

Speaking of drivers, did you use the new drivers that came with your new trackball or the drivers for your old trackball??

Another test that just occured to me, is to uninstall the Logitech drivers and use the default MS drivers.

Saw these yesterday, just getting to them now. Well, I found part of the culprit, being with Photoshop plug ins. Strange, yes, I know, but, after uninstalling the filters, the trackball seems to, at the moment, be playing somewhat better with DAZ.

I will, at some point try reinstalling them to see if the glitch occurs again. It's not a 100%, but, it is better, so I'm thinking there may be another conflict or two in the way. I'm also thinking Kaspersky likes to interfere, as it pops up a window every time a Studio instance is running. So, I shut that off while using Studio. As per drivers, well it's a Logitech unifying wireless trackball, it will not run without Logitechs drivers/transmitter installed. But, yes, I stripped the files for it, all the way to the registry, before I reinstalled the unifying software.

For what it's worth I used Avast (Free) and MS Security Essentials (also free) for antivirus. You might want to uninstall Kaspersky, and try one of the above. I have used Avast for over 5 years and love it. It does not try to take over my PC, it just does it job. It is also very highly rated.
