google would be my first stop...click the images button when you search and the visual input is fantastic...always find what I need real fast

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Lots of good textures here..

Don't know if you could get anything useable from these or not.. They might not be big enough ..

In case it's of use... I've been making some spherical panoramas of cloudscapes / landscapes using Vue.

They work in Poser, using Baggingsbill's free 360 degree Environment Sphere.

There are 2000 pixel wide versions in my gallery...

...or 4000 pixel wide at the following link (in .hdr file format):

http://bananas.monkeycloud.net/panoramas/beta/

I'm working on some 10,000 pixel wide ones... and plan to do some aerial perspectives in due course... probably at cloud height, looking down to fields below... although it may be a while before I fit that in.

The current ones are all from a ground viewpoint... but if you scale up the envsphere to 1000%, along with upping your camera's yon value to the max, they should still look okay from a viewpoint quite high up off the Poser ground plane...

;-)

I just found the below link, which has a group of incredible sky panorama's, that work VERY well in BagginsBill's Env Sphere, or I suppose any dome.  (for sphere, I doubled the height -100px, so if it was 2000px high, I added 1900px to the bottom)

In any case, as I quote the creator from his Blender Artists post:

Hi folks,

I thought it was time to give something back to the community again, so I've released a new high resolution texture pack for Blender 3d.....there are 19 textures in all, ranging from 10k in size to 16k. These are much higher resolution than any textures I've released before, and should be suitable for full HD rendering.

....

Released under an 'I don't give an damn' license. Meaning you can use them for anything you want, including commercial work. The only thing I ask is that you don't sell them. That's it. Have fun, and make great art!

the zip file URL sends this up, but the other links though slower, gives them all up fine

How hard did you try?  LOL!  :tongue1:

Expand the description ("show more")   ...the individual downloads are not on Megaupload (which of course was shutdown), they are on Wuala, and are available.

Obviously you didn't read and comprehend my post...I did and I did...you didn't warn about the zip file which is what most folks would go fo first....so I did

I was responding to your original, un-edited post which just said, "the zip file URL sends this up".  It comprehends much better now, thanks!  :tt2:
