Once
in a while I look around,
I see
a sound
and
try to write it down
Sometimes
they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

I think the raven one was from a game or something called raven nuke that uses "blocks", what ever they are....

How about a free sketchup model of the Addams Family's house...SickenlySweete posted Thu, 24 May 2012 at 10:19 PM
that would be great, if.......it was a file that i could actually import..
anyone want to load it in sketchup and save out as an obj file for me??
kenmo posted Fri, 25 May 2012 at 7:03 AM
Just download the trial version of Sketchup Pro...
bobbystahr posted Fri, 25 May 2012 at 11:30 AM
don't think the trial version allows for export of .obj but there is I think a plugin you can get free that does it...tried it a year or so back and that's what I found, but found the model I needed elsewhere so never tried the SketchUp route

I downloaded and installed the demo Sketchup Pro... And then zipped the obj, mtl and texture files...
You may need to place the texture files into a sub folder named ADDAMS_HOUSE....
kenmo posted Sat, 26 May 2012 at 11:53 AM
I uploaded the zip file here as an attached and I see it's been removed by one of the mods with no reason or e-mail sent...
How utterly rude.... and against the spirit of this forum...
No wonder I've been posting so seldom here...
I shall NOW upload the file a second time...
SickenlySweete IF it disappears again please contact me via e-mail...

I don't think .zip can be attached in forums can they..here's a test

I NEVER got the message.... and it's simply DUMBASS not to allow ZIP files as attachments...
I was only trying to do a favour and NO I don't want to be recieving dozens of e-mail requests asking I e-mail the file...
I don't mind the original person asking nor your e-mail request... BUT Renderosity should be trying to make things easier and more friendly for it's user community...

ken, to upload a zip file to this forum, append the filename with extension txt, e.g. addamshouse.zip.txt. must be 200 KB or less. downloaders: delete the txt extension, then unzip.
kenmo posted Mon, 28 May 2012 at 8:56 AM
Kind of a silly work around don't you think... Why not just allow zip or rar files?
Xerxes0002 posted Mon, 28 May 2012 at 12:59 PM
because they don't want the file hosting to go through forums. If its a freebie they want it in that section or pointing to your own hosting point.

So better to use ShareCG then?
Miss Nancy posted Wed, 30 May 2012 at 3:08 PM
alot of users here have accounts at sharecg. there have been some issues with file-dumping to spoof the profit-sharing system, but it's not bad IMVHO.
