Any of you great python coders out there have Bushi's Pose Genie script, updated by Hioushi in this thread, http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=3406169.
If so would you mind taking a look at it and see if it can be updated to work with Poser Pro 2012?
I recieve the following error when trying to use it.
PoseGenieV2y.py Version
"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "X:Poser Pro 2012RuntimePythonposerScriptsScriptsMenuPose GeniePoseGenieV2y.py", line 35, in

File "X:Poser Pro 2012RuntimePythonlibNumeric.py", line 91, in
import multiarray
ImportError: Module use of python24.dll conflicts with this version of Python."
and
PoseGenieP2y_PoserPro.py version
"Traceback (most recent call last):

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

links to the actual code appear to be dead. no idea where code resides now

I didn't have time to test it fully, let me know if anything is broken. I'll look at it again tomorrow anyway, I see some ugly file paths in there.
Remove ".txt" to unpack it. Use the script "PoseGenieV2y_PoserPro2012.py" now.

what does it do?
Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

It's a very old posing script made by Bushi a long time ago. I still find it usefull for some poses. From the included PDF:
"PoseGenie is a PoserPython script for use with Poser ProPack and Poser 5,
The script was developed as a tool to make posing figures easier and with better
results then positioning by hand. It uses a Genetic Algorithm to quickly sift
through a very large number of possible joint rotation combinations to select a
solution for a given pose. The user selects the actors (body parts) to pose and
positions three spheres that control where the actors are to be located.
PoseGenie then sieves through the possible combinations of joint rotations that
will result in the proper positioning with the fewest number of total degrees in the
joint rotations. The script can also set limits on the range of motion in the figure’s
joints so that the Genetic Algorithm can be channeled to produce a desired pose."

Thank you Hioushi, will give it a test now :D
Estherau, it's a python script that makes 3 props (A base, Target, and Seeker), you place the base at location you want a pose to start, you parent the seeker to whatever body part you want to go to the Target, and place the Target wherever and it will go through a bunch of iterations to get the seeker as close as possible to the target, thus posing the part(s) from the base to the seeker. Also you can edit the limits on the rotations of the parts. It's a lot easier to just try it than for me to explain it. Lol.
There is a link to instructions on it's use on Hioushi's thread I mentioned in the first post. That is much clearer than I could be :D

The script is working again. Problem with it locking the dials until you change display tracking though. But it is working :D
Thank you very much.
