Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Mar 17 1:26 pm)

Subject: OK, I have the water thing down, but...

rokket ( ) posted Mon, 02 July 2012 at 6:59 PM · edited Mon, 03 March 2025 at 11:42 PM

I got a crazy idea that I wanted to make the bath a bubble bath. I know I can do this post in GIMP. I have brushes installed that can do a pretty good soap bubble imitation. But I want to be able to do this in Poser 9.

Any ideas?

I will post a render of my bath water later on. I need to take Sydney out of the tub and replace her with her DEV mesh first...

I think they might not quite be what I am looking for, but thank you. I am looking for something to mask parts of the body, to create an alluring effect.

I will keep searching and trying different things. I downloaded Phil's bubbles and I will try them out later.

Maybe something like the soap bubbles in this image from my gallery?

Soap bubbles in water and on skin are entirely procedural.

(Ignore the rest of the picture - it was made in an old version of Poser and desperately needs updating!)

That's almost EXACTLY what I am looking for. I wanted to build up the soap bubbles to cover up her breasts and float on the water the way a real bubble bath looks.

Your image is really cool. Can you tell me how you did that?

So, this was added to the texture map? I get lost sometimes on the terms used for this stuff. I get things right mostly by luck.

file_483384.txt

I've attached the VSS prop I used in that render (remove the txt extension). Sorry it took a while but I'd forgotten where I'd saved it!

If you don't already have it, VSS is available here:
https://sites.google.com/site/poserbagginsbill/vsshomepage

NB: For VSS to synchronise when using this prop your figure's name needs to begin with 'VSSON'. I work like that so that I can be selective when synchronising.

Cheers

I can't seem to be able to remove the .txt extension from that file.

I had VSS when I was running Poser8, but lost it when I lost my runtime in the big crash. I will download it again.

If you can repost that file without the .txt extension, I would appreciate it. I don't know why WIN7 won't let me rename it and save it as a zip...

EDIT: I used my download manager and got it. Thank you! I am going to play with it and see what I can come up with.

I don't understand this statement... kind of embarrassed about that...
