Hi Guys and Gals,
Just got Poser Pro 2012 today and for some reason the Poser library is showing up on my task bar as a separate process. Keep in mind it is on monitor number 3 main program is on 2 and material library is on 1. However I also have the hierarchy editor on 3 as well but it does not show as a separate process. Is this normal behavior for Pro 2012? Or did I mess something up? Or is this a known bug?
Regards, Tom

Yeah, it is if you have Poser Pro 2012 and using the 64 bit version.

Yep. That is odd thoght that one part of the interface would be separate from the rest. was not that way is Poser 9.
Thanks LaurieA

in PP2012 you have a choice of internal and external libraries. It is up to you

Hi Willyb53,
Thanks for the info as it was making me crazy. Don't need any more help in the crazy department. :-)
Now things are as they should be in my little world.
Out of curiousity, what is the porpose of having the choice?

LOL, BagginsBill is the one to ask that question. I think he is the one that designed the interface.

I don't think there's any particular advantage other than...the one that's floating can be moved around if necessary. I guess...lol. I have two monitors so I just leave it floating and float it over to the second monitor ;)

some people want to dock or float the library window, instead of having it in a separate Windows window. Some time ago, it was noted that:
The manual states that the Library Window, in a 64-bit Poser Pro, cannot be docked. This is indeed the case with Poser Pro 2010, where the General preferences, Library tab, Lauch behavior is greyed out.
However, in Poser Pro the “embedded" option can be checked when one has the 64-bit version of Flash installed as well. This might be still in beta, but nevertheless.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

When PP2010 first came out, there was no 64-bit Flash plug in, so BB wote the 64-bit program's interface in Adobe AIR, which is of course a seperate process....
