and when i click on the diagnostic page.. get this..

i have mcafee... thru my bank.. 

Can you please tell me what browser you are using and if you are getting the error through the freebie section or from the Renderosity site in general?

I am also going to move your post from the Bryce forum because there is no need to have the same question in both areas :)

I guess I need my eyes checked because I couldn't read the second screen shot at all..not even after making it bigger..lol

safari gets google diagnostic link when trying [http://backroom.renderosity.com/~bryce/  ](http://backroom.renderosity.com/~bryce/) .  firefox gets 404 error when trying bryce backroom link, but not carrara backroom link.

Oh and as far as the size..it is quite alright :)

I've removed any of the backroom links (which we are about to shut them all down) for the Bryce, Zbrush and some freestuff that had backroom links so is this still happening.

 

We will have to get the programmers to find those other two things cause I have no idea where those are hiding???

Try again eros and see if the backroom for bryce stuff I killed makes a difference

A great rest of the day? I highly doubt it now.

There were years of information and files in there and that was even before I myself put FIVE more years of information in there (including my own html made pages for our Bryce Challenges)

All those years of work, all that info and content, just turned off and unavailable, as if it had no value.

I am very sorry as it did have value however they were causing a lot of problems on the site and the only way to resolve the site issues was to get rid of the backrooms.

What were those issues, btw??

I mean, to chop off that much content, from all those years, with no announcement, no nothing. All within a day? Which is to say the only thing I have seen about all this is this one thread. It's all I have to go on. (Please point me to an site announcement thread, wherever it is, I seemed to have missed it)

If this was an actual malware problem, that problem (like any virus) could have been purged. Deleted, and/or overwritten with backups. That is elementary.

But, it was just deleted and turned off?

That is not the action of someone who values what has been constructed by fellow members and of fellow employees of Renderosity. Imho, (and you'll need to forgive me) but not even close. That content and those YEARS of history means FAR more than that. (maybe that's just me)

I just hope and want to know that this is not just an issue of those that actually created and contributed compared to those that had no hands-on investment.

Its easy to turn the switch off, if you weren't the one that built it.
