I have Poser 8, M4 with M++ morphs loaded.

I'm wanting to get the eyebrows of my character to look like this actor's eyebrows which you can see are nice and thick. What do I have to do/adjust to get the eyebrows that thick.

The attached is the actor's nice thick eyebrows and the next post will be my character's wimpy ones.

Hehe...looks like Matt Bomer ;).

What version of Poser are you using?

start by turning down your minimum shading rate. hard to tell from a microscopic render but it looks like youre using the default shading rate and your texture is losing detail.

if your shading rate already is down to ~0.2, and its still rendering like that, then get better textures.

1: find the Eyebrow body part make it visible

2: apply a trans map to suit

3: work the brow piece over with the morph brush to fix any "flaws"

So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?

You could try the trick I demonstrate here.

Use the texture to "drive" the displacement map.

The outcome depends on the texture quality and the settings you use.
Works "most" of the time but not always.

yep. in the hair room.   :)  so far, found it's better to start on the outer edge brow and work inward.  and making the hair fine.  i'm down to .3 so far.

Eyebrows are tricky because the top hair grows down and to the side and the bottom hairs grow up and to the side ;).

Also, thank you moriador. I'll would definitely use those brushes except I have Photoshop 7.

Well, you could make two groups for each brow.

I really wanna try it, but I'm swamped right now.

laurieee, you made me spit gatorade at my monitor and keyboard.

come to think of it, nostril hairs can be bushy too.

dude eyebrows have some leeway for bushiness.  a lil easier.  each hair guide green square needs individual positioning.  rainbow eyebrows, lol.
