I'm having problems importing background images on Poser Pro 2012 and I need your help.
I have to render images on Poser Pro 2012, with dimensions 2400x1600 px and when I try to import image from the same dimension, (2400x1600), the PP2012 shows a window asking me if I wish to resize my document window to match the imported image.
By choosing "Yes" or "No" the background picture always doesn't match on the screen of Poser.
So, what I want your help to solve this problem.

When the new UI with docking windows was introduced, some of the older stuff relating to the document window size was a little screwed up.
The important thing is not your document window size, but rather your render dimensions.
Explicitly set your render dimensions to exactly 2400 by 1600 and just ignore that dialog.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Thank very much for your help.
Then, when the dialog box appears I must to close it and proceed rendening?

Say NO, set your render dimensions to 2400 by 1600. After that you can render at any dimensions you like.

Or load a prop, or square.
Set its dimentions to something like 240% in X and 160% in Y.
Load your background texture to that.
Then position as required for your render.
If you need shadows, you will have to play with the Ground plane and set it to shadow catch only in the material room.

But I've done this way (responding “no”) and after rendening in 2400x1600), the image that I imported not filled the entire screen of Poser.
Unfilled side tracks appear.

Yes, same happens to me. The size doesn't quite match (even though the pixel size is set to be identical) and I get a gap along one side in the final render.

I don't get a gap.
What version are you running?

When I click "Yes" or when I click "No" de final result is the same.
You can see in the image attached.

For starters, your ground plane is still in the way.
It should be set at shadow catch only (if you need shadows).
Otherwise toggle ground plane completely OFF.
Only then will you be able to set your scene and see where the background inmage is exactly.
It works here.

Poser has had 3 updates. You can't just say Poser Pro 2012.
Which version - Original, SR1, SR2, SR2.1?
Since you did not say, I'm going to guess you don't know about updates and have an old version. There's no use trying to diagnose a problem that was fixed already. If you don't have SR2.1 get it.

Mine's PP2012 SR2. I've downloaded SR2.1 but haven't installed it yet, so can't say yet whether this will still happen after. At the moment though I'm rendering images at 2400x3000px with a background image of exactly the same dimensions and I get a small gap of about 20px down the right hand side (occasionally along the top instead). It's not a big deal, I just have to remember to crop the render afterwards.
Ground plane is always off btw.

I always split the image size in half for the preview dimensions (*you still load the full size). Be sure to uncheck the "constrain aspect ratio" until you reset the render size, then recheck it and save for this render. See the screen shot for info on the corrections! ;) I hope this helps you!

You're welcome! It is weird if you set the size in the preview to match the background I always got a warning that the image was too large to load, so I had to find my own work around. If ever I can help you out I'm just a site mail away!

Oh and BTW, I meant set the Preview size in image 1.... duh! LOL!!!
