I attempted to create a figure that would use falloff spheres compatible with Daz Studio and all versions of Poser, with corrective JCMs to optimize bending. I ran into various problems along the way that destroyed my hopes of achieving wide compatibility. Though the results were good in Poser Pro 2012-Poser 8, the JCMs were broken when IK was used. Also, the JCM approach made full body morphs very difficult to optimize since each FBM required it's own JCM set.
One consequences of all of these morphs was that I began to suffer from cr2 bloat, exceeding 47 megs at its nadir. When I decided to go with weightmaps, I deleted the JCMs to make a clean start, but I retained the head morphs, of which there are 80. The cr2 bloat has decreased, but it remains substantial, at 31 megs. Is this excessive considering the 80 head morphs? Is there a practical limit to how large a cr2 should be?
