Last week, I got a newsletter offering a 30% coupon towards the purchase of any items. The newsletter stated that it was being sent to people who have items in their shopping cart. Since I usually have items sitting in my shopping cart, I figured that this newsletter was meant for me. So I spent several hours going through my enormous wishlist to select a smaller group of items to purchase on my tight budget. I enjoy creating animated gifs for my web site because it distracts me from my poor health. I have been battling breast cancer, suffer chronic lower back pain from 4 bulging disks and recently, had several tears in the retina of one of my eyes and underwent laser surgery twice in the past few weeks. So, money is tight and I was finding it difficult to choose from all of the wonderful products on my wishlist. Several hours later, I finally had my items chosen and went to checkout.
During checkout, I was upset to find that the coupon did not work! I e-mailed customer support and waited for a reply. A few of the items in my shopping cart were on sale and the sales were about to expire so I e-mailed customer support again the next day to attempt to hurry on the process. The whole idea is to save money but it was too late in coming and 4 items returned to their regular price. The worst thing was that I found out that the 30% off coupon was not meant for me or else, the coupon would have worked... sigh! As a result, I did not buy any of the items in my shopping cart.
Over the years, I have spent hundreds of dollars at Renderosity and this was quite the blow! People who leave items in their shopping baskets for more than 1 week are obviously not very interested in the items and yet, they are getting rewarded with 30% off coupons while I got a 10% off coupon the previous week! Sigh! I guess that those of us who spend money regularly are not appreciated! Yes, I know about render rewards but 5% does not make up for the difference (between 10% and 30%)!
Waiting to see if there will be a better discount for the rest of us soon!
