I'm trying to install Tyler for pp2012 64 bit on 64bt system with Windows 7.
I have a dummy poser.exe in the Poser folder.
Why is the installer telling me to find a valid copy of poser? I assume it's looking for the .exe - why is it not finding it?
I searched the forum already for this answer.
Help please, thanks.

AFAIK, Tyler requires SR3 and the installer is looking .exe with that version

hrm I have sr3 too. I should have noted that also.

It is getting confused by your dummy copy of poser.exe (dummy is not SR3)

Is your dummy Poser.exe a copy of the updated Poser.exe file (from your actual Poser installation folder)?
The installer must presumably be reading the version from the extended file properties, which means an old copy (or a fake .exe, e.g. text file with the name and file extension changed) won't cut it...

I got the same message, but chose the option to search manually for where I wanted to install it.
Seemed easier to do it that way to me.
Poser 10
Octane Render

Both Tyler and Niki need to update files in the main poser installation in Prorgram Files (files such as the face room files). That is why it wants the real Poser location. You can move the figures themselves afterwards to a new location.
If you used the default installtion, the figures will be installed in users/public/Poser(2012/9)

The answer about the dummy poser.exe confusing it was the correct answer. Thank you very much. Deleted that, now it's working fine. :)
