Hi,
I just upgraded from PoserPro to PoserPro2012 and I'm having an odd problem with a V4 map (by RM) that I'm using since long. Suddenly in the latter version of PP skin maps are showing white seam lines both in preview window and in rendering. searching through previous posts on the matter I understood (I'm NOT a technical type at all...) it could be because of post filter settings, but I use the same on both versions of PP (type "sinc", size 4) and even changing to all the possible combinations the seamlines issue persists. I know I could solve it using the PSP clone tool to extend the textures beyond their actual borders, but I don't understand why the same map should work correctly only in the older version of PP. Since the seamlines appear in preview box too I suppose it has something to do with the way the newer version program handles maps... but I'm not the one who can fathom such advanced things, so I'm thankful in advance to anyone who will offer some advice.

It may be caused by texture filtering, try chrisp or none.

Thank You for answering Bill !!
Anyway it looks like the problem just disappeared, and the only thing I modified was the "Preview texture resolution" from 512 to 4096. Odd thing is the seamlines are still there in preview but fortunately disappear when rendering... I'm a bit puzzled but as long as it works...

That will be the case in some older textures, you will see the seams in preview mode but will not be present after render.

It looks like I finally found the "trick" to avoid the problem. PP2012 in the rendering settings comes out with a "Min shading rate" of 0.95; putting that value to 0 is all that's needed to avoid having seam lines in rendering. It's a problem occurring only on a small amount of V4 maps, so it's not very likely to trouble a lot of people, but, to my knowledge, it's easily corrected just putting the Min shading rate cursor to 0. I hope someone can find it useful.
