That's shadow pass rendering. Not shadow catching. See modo, Carrara. E-on said they might include shadow catching when importing camera motion data and backdrop footage into Vue.

It looks like matte shadow to me which is a great plus for vue. It only took 6.5 versions to put this feature finally in, Yippie!

It would be a nice option to turn on or off. Turn on for indoor renders. And off for outdoor. A Lux-like renderer takes forever to render a forest of trees, and kills RAM in the process. Vue's renderer has to cheat some to render a forest.

I'd like very much for poser genesis to import into vue.
