hi... newbie but trying hard.....i have a question...i'm trying to do a victoria 4 with stockings and while the render is ok at low end as soon as i turn the firefly a little higher i keep getting zones of different shading...i've tried and purchased another pair of stockings but same problem.....i don't understand....any one a clue as to what i would be doing wrong ?

the stockings i'm using are Hongyu's  Schoolgirl for V4

poser pro 2012

Firefly render almost at the max one notch from far right

at the knees i get this gnarly thinhg going and sometimes at top of stockings also, i've tried playing around with the dials and end up usually in photoshop but for an animation this will take a very long time...so i would like to find the solution at the source of problem

am on mac 64 bit

cheers

The quick fix is to turn raytracing off for the stockings.

I've struggled with this in the past and as stated, turn ray tracing off for the stockings. However, they will not reflect in a mirror etc.

The shadow might be just that, the material is casting a shadow. Some control of the shadow bias may help.

ok will try to work on the shadow bias since  turning off raytracing for stockings does not work.

thank will try now
