Hi, when I'm posing a body part I usually only have 'twist', 'bend' and 'side-side' showing in the translation parameters.

I'm sure someone said that I could unhide 'X translate', 'Z rotate', etc. but I can't find it.  I have Poser 8 and 9.

Sometimes you need to move your hand in a specific direction, not just bend or twist it.  Help please.

You need to turn on Inverse Kinematics for hand or foot that you wish to move in that manner.

You can unhide dials using Snarly's Scenefixer

Both great  bits of info!!  Will check out Snarly's fix and also try the IK solution.  Good to have multiple ways to do things.

IK on does work....thanks.

I know I'm going to sound stupid but at Snarly's place I can only find an area to login in.  I can't find where I can register.  I'm embarrassed to ask, I'm sure it's there but I just don't see it.

you do not need to login or register there.

When I click to download it goes to a login page.  Only reason I had problems.  The Snow machine looked cool too so I'll try again.

Thanks for the zip link.

Alright, I see what I was doing.  I was clicking on Snarly's name, not the 'download' link.

Out of interest - when posing hands/arms Ifind myself subconsciously posing my own fingers/hand/arm to model the pose I'm trying to achieve. Am I a bit weird, or do others find themselves doing that too?

There's nothing weird about this. When photographing with real models, the quickest and sometimes the only way to show what you want is to get in the pose yourself.

Agree about posing hands.  I do the same thing.  We are our own best models.  The thumb is the hardes to get right, imo.

PoseMagic will make your time spent in poser much more enjoyable when posing figures.
