When I set up a scene, I normally create a camera, set it to the position I want, then lock the translation and rotation controls, and use the perspective view to change the figures / props in the scene. This worked Ok until I bought a new 64 bit computer and installed the 64 bit version of DAZ Pro 4.5 Now if I lock the camera controls and save the file, close DAZ , re-open DAZ and reload the file ( simulating a new work session) the camera has moved to a different position. Perversely, if I don’t lock the camera controls and carry out the same procedure, the camera remains in its set position. Does anyone know what’s going on? Because of the way I work, I would like to be able to lock the camera.

Have you tried Memorising the camera (Parameters pane option menu), then you can Restore it if it gets moved in error. Not that the behaviour you are seeing isn't worth a bug report, of course.

Yes that works Richard. I didn't expect the memorised data to be retained through a save , close, open cycle but it is. Many thanks.
Presumably the bug reporting is on the DAZ site?

Yes, bugs.daz3d.com - if you haven't created an account you will need to, it doesn't share the forum and store details.

With larger scenes it may also help to save the camera as a Camera Preset that way you can reload it to position at any time.
