As a new vendor I was just wondering what the trend is during this period. I am just busy with my schedule of release dates for future projects, and always wondered about this. Thanks.

There are a lot of big coupons/sales this time of year, so what I purchase  is on sale...

Probably depends on the individual customer, I have children, so usually buy less during this season, those with fewer family obligations may well buy more due to sales and coupons.

ah ok. I knew those with family obligations this time of year would spend a bit less. I am the same. Just wanted to know if it was just me.

I'd say a bit more, my sales are always a bit more during the holiday season. It's not the same every year, but until now it has been 25-50% for me each year. Especially items on sale and holiday/winter related items sell more, but I also notice that some people will buy wishlist items in this period.

Mostly, it start around thanksgiving and ends late Januari/ beginning of February. I do see a pattern, first 3-4 months of the year sales are good, during the summer they slow down and last 3 monts of the year they pick up again with a peek as stated before. This may not be for everyone, but for I see this.

What also helps is releasing something on a regular basis. Spreading out new releases during a year helps boost sales. Let's say you have 3 items ready. Instead of releasing all of them in a short period of time or at once, release one each month or so. I do notice if I release a new item, sales from old items pick up again as well.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Most hobby businesses to a large part of their business during the Christmas season. In fact many would not survive without it.

According to biscuits, most people buy stuff on the weekend... makes sense if the average person gets paid on friday.

As a shopper all I'm going to say is: it depends on what's being sold.

I probably buy most stuff on a weekend, but it has nothing to do with when I get paid.  (That's what credit cards are for. ;-)  The weekend is when I have time to go through the various stores and see what's on offer.

I do the bulk of my Poser purchases during the holiday season.  That's when the best sales are.  Content Paradise usually has a 50% off sale, and so does RDNA.  DAZ runs a lot of sales in Nov. and Dec.  Rosity usually offers some nice coupons and discounts.  If it's something I like but don't need right away, I wait until the holiday season to see if it will go on sale.

I put aside some money monthly, all year long, waiting for the holiday sales period.

Agree it depends on what is being sold.

That said for some reason I do attack my wishlist more during this time period and that probably has to do with Rendo coupons and vendor sales and the amount of the discount the vendor offers on older items I have wishlisted.
