Someone knows where to find splash materials (to simulate water splash). I search every corner of the web and nothing. Thanks.

I think there are spash OBJECTS (.obj files ) at sharecg.com. You would use a water texture.

Also consider that you can make a very effective "splash" by using a Bryce tree. You make the trunk transparent and change the leaves to a appropriate material. You might want to try some of the cloud mats, or mix your own. This also works well for flocks of birds, or bats if you change the leaf map.

There are splash objects available at Most Digital Creations... and at ShareCG there is H2O objects from SpaceBones that could be used for "splash".

Thanks folks, you are very helpful. I realize that it's possible make some textures using png files and the 2D editor.

The H2O water objects from SpaceBones are water textured (Bryce) terrains... very clever of him.

Another source of "splash" objects is from Renderotica where they were designed for "special" splash applications...

Another option is to use a terrain, clipped to remove the base, inverted and textured in a water or glass texture...be sure that it is hollow to create the effect...the terrain can be angled, then scaled in various directions for more effect.

You could also use a lattice, and draw the splash effect in the terrain editor...this would allow for more of a water droplet effect, and with a few of various design grouped together could also create an effective splash effect.
