The great man himself has sadly passed away aged 83.

Like many here his shows were a huge part of my childhood in the late 60's and early 70's.

Thank you Gerry... RIP.

Ditto here. His influence is visible with a lot of recent productions like 'Team America' too.

Gerry Anderson's creations were an early influence on my imagination.

RIP, Mr. Anderson.

RIP Gerry Anderson.

Thunderbirds and Joe 90, through to the ground breaking Space 1999... and all the rest.

His creations were a massive influence on my early imagination, that's for sure.

Very sad news. He and Derek Meddings (who made many of the models) where some of my childhood heroes. Though still a big influence on many folks today.
