I'm having some difficulty getting motion blurred shadows on an animation. I'm sure it's some simple setting I'm missing as usual

In your Vue settings, do you have soft shadows checked? That may be it. I have a problem with Rain appearing. Though I'm probably missing something like you are too, LOL.

I think you need to use raytraced motion blur to get shadows blurred. The "fakey" 2.5 hybrid blur doesn't blur shadows.
