Here's a new Battle Axe for you all, textures are up to you to come up with, or it can be broken up in Bryce to assign textures to. I will upload it to Fun Stuff as soon as I can get through. Enjoy!

Frazetta and Boris are my inspirations at the moment, so I take that as a high compliment indeed! I also found an old book of Roger and Martin Dean, and my next picture will hopefully show that influence as well. Is there an interest in these types of weapons? I have a few others in the works that I may post if there is...The only problem is the size..since the "blade" portion is actually a symetrical lattice from Bryce, it makes for rather large files..};[ Bloodsong..Just let me know if it gets used, I would love to see it! };]

heya; you know, cybor, i was actually thinking of a bigger frazetta axe... with a longer, recurved handle... oh, and have you tried spatch for making blades? theres a good tutorial on that. um... um.. ::looks around for spatch info:: http://www.cableone.net/alyson/spatch.html

As a matter of fact, I have used sPatch to make some of the axe blades, but the process is soooo much more time consuming compared to making the outline in photoshop..I have spent hours modeling one, and it took all of 15 minutes to make a much more complex object with the bryce symetrical lattice. I still use sPatch for a lot of my props, but am loving that lattice more and more. };]

hmmm... good point. :) do you have another modeller where you could, perhaps 'decimate' the blade after it is exported from bryce?
