I use D/S4' Poser and Vue 9.5. Want to get new PC but they only seem to comewith Win 8 these days. Anybody had any probs running these progs with the latest O/S? Also if anyone can recommend a system for about £1000available in UK I'd be grateful.

Run from desktop mode, Daz studio 4.5 pro works fine on windows 8. Only problem I've found thus far is from time to time I have to run an installer in compatability/administrator mode or unblock a security setting. Windows 8 is just truly buggy that way. :)

I think Microsoft allows you to "downgrade" to Windows7, (although it's an upgrade IMO). Do a search for downgrade to Windows7, and they should have instructions.

That or buy a business class machine. Those still routinely come with Windows 7 because business ain't exactly buying into the Windows 8 hype just like they didn't buy into the Vista hype.
What that means for example, if you are talking Dell Laptops you want to be looking at Latitudes rather than Vostro's.
That and the business class machines usually have better class components (unless you go into gaming machines)

Thanks to all for answering. I bought a chunky gaming PC with win8 but hated it so much I have just returned it under DSR. Going to upgrade my lovely old Lenevo B320 to 8gb and see if that makes a difference.
