My props dir content disapered from my old PC.

Finally gave up and began installing onto a new machine ove the past few weeks.

Now the entire runtime contents on teh new machine has just disapeared.

Mins later the Runtime dir reapeared but empty of all files????

Properties says directories where created only mins before????

Properties indicates no other versions.

I have no idea whats going on, this is a clean machine but again this stuff just disapeared into thin air???

I even went to the command line and checked teh runtime, theres nothing.

Its pointless installing again unless I know what is happening to the runtime content.

can you search the disk for a known file.  I thought win7 would move files (or create a link to them) if the files were in a protected folder.  (thats not quite right but anyway)

You can do a refresh on the poser library and see if that helps.

Yes, found a file but Win 7 insists it isnt there.

what folder do you find it in , and where do you think the poser runtime should be ?

Okay looks like W7 version sysem is the culprit (I think).

I've copied the runtime to a external drive and its there (weird).

I think Windows 7 has more options than it can competantly handle.

Vista, Win, Win 8 protect files installed into Program Files.  This something that has been discussed numerous times.  When installing the current Poser version, you are given the option to locate your content to a different share folder to avoid this content.  Clearly, this option was not selected.  Lesson to be learned from this, always read each installation panel thoroughly to avoid future aggravation and frustration.

No, I already know about that particular issue a year or two ago.

I always check the install location for content which is the
