Has anyone else noticed this problem with Poser 9 (SR 3.1 - running on W7 64bit)...

After a render, even a small one (taking 5 minutes or less), it seems to take ages for the program to actually respond?

I mean, the render is done -- you can see it's done from the time bar, and (if it's small enough) you can see the whole thing in the workspace window, but the "spinning wheel of death" is running if you mouse-over the workspace.

You can minimize the Poser window if you want, but...

You can't actually work in the workspace, like saving the picture you've just rendered.

The tiny render I just did took more than 3 minutes (possibly more than 4 - I wasn't keeping careful track) to return control of the program to me after the render "finished."

Does anyone know what might be going on here?

Is there something I can change in preferences to cut down this lag time?  It's really annoying on short renders.  (Long ones I often leave the computer anyway.)

P7, which I used previously, did not seem to have this problem.  Render finished, a couple of seconds later, you could save it.

I suspect (though I have no proof) that this may have something to do with all those previous renders P9 keeps hanging around in the system.  Those can be useful (if you hit render accidentally rather than save), but I'll gladly dump everything after the first 3-6 to cut this lag time.

Thoughts?

Solutions?

Am I crazy?

My system's not top-of-the-line fast or memory filled, but the computer is just over a year old.  And, like I sad, I didn't have this problem with P7.

Thanks.
