So attached is a zip (remove .txt from the file and unzip, then place in your lights folder) containing four lightsets I pretty much use for everything.
For those with a low end GC (Or those who simply prefer the non-hardware shader preview look), there are two lightsets called GOOD PREVIEW:
These contain EIGHT preview lights which DO NOT render and ONE or TWO lights which do.
Those PREVIEW LIGHTS are simply there to create a nice OpenGL preview IF HARDWARE SHADING IS DISABLED in your PREVIEW SETTINGS.
The IDL light contains only ONE SUN and NEEDS IDL AND AN ENVIRONMENT to properly work.
The NON-IDL light contains an additional white IBL for ambient and should NOT BE USED with IDL.
The NO PREVIEW lights are meant for those with high end graphic cards who use FULL HARDWARE SHADING for their OpenGL preview.
They DO NOT contain preview lights, just the render lights. (But these are OpenGL enabled, so you can still see what you're doing)
They come as IDL (Only one sun) and NON-IDL (Sun + white IBL).
Only the SUN light gives shadows on all four sets.
Shadows are by default NOT BLURRED. You can easily set this up yourself. I recommend 1.4 to 2.0.
I use these lights for almost anything, but if you work in a tight, completely enclosed space, you need to replace the SUN with a similar point light that is located closer to your scene, as walls will block the default sun.
ALL LIGHTS NEED GAMMA CORRECTION ENABLED !
While these lights work very well for most "daylight" renders, you can and should of course modify them any way you like.
Tint the sun, dim it down, add additional lights, etc.

And here are my render settings for fast "good enough to post in a thread" renders.

You'll notice that my IDL settings are very low, which is perfectly fine as long as you don't use IDL AS YOUR ONLY LIGHTSOURCE.
If you just use IDL emitters and no "proper" Poser light, you need to drastically raise the IDL settings to prevent artifacts.
Which of course will dramatically raise your render times.

Thank you. This is incredibly generous. And thank you for the usage tips.

Joe,
I am still trying to download this, but I keep getting a "page not found" or it just times out. Should I keep trying, or is there something wrong?

Also remember that WardrobeWizzard can dim, brighten or tint multiple lights if you open the WW Python window and then select: "Utilities" --> "Lights".

And here is how V4 using her default textures and EZSkin 2 looks with my GOOD PREVIEW-NO IDL lights.
(The leftover blue diffuse color tint was removed by using SnarlyGribbly's SceneFixer script)
On the left is the OpenGL preview WITHOUT HARDWARE SHADING and on the right is the rendered version using my FAST settings but SSS enabled.
(If you use hardware shading the preview will of course look different, while the rendered pic should look the same)
If your monitor setings are a lot different than mine, simply use WardrobeWizzard as explained above to brighten or dim the lights until you're happy with them.

Got it, finally. Thank you.
Why did Renderosity stop .txt file downloads?

Rendo is quite slow for me ATM. Maybe they are working on the servers ?
Anyway, here again V4 default with EZSkin. FAST render settings + EZSkin.
Again the GOOD PREVIEW-NO IDL light set, but I converted the SUN from INFINITE into a POINT light that I could move inside the building.
Strenght = 100, Shadow = 1.0, Blur = 1,4, Attenuation = constant.
The "white" IBL stayed the same. No other lights.

Oh, and all lights are parented to the MAIN CAMERA so your scene and figures will stay well-lit wherever you point your camera.

BTW, if, for whatever totally unthinkable reason, you really, really, really don't want to use Gamma Correction, switch the intensity of the SUN light from 80% to 50%, and the white IBL filler light from 11% to 30%.
And of course disable GC in your render settings.
As you can see the result will look very close to the GC lights without IDL.
But remember, for SSS and IDL to work correctly, you also need GC.

It is a personal taste thing but as an oil painter I like the shading (shadow) on the higher IBL render shown on our right.

Not for Poser 9 I take it?

"Not for Poser 9 I take it?"
Well, they were made to work with PP-2012' Gamma Correction, but if you adjust the values of the "Sun" and the "IBL-Filler" light to "Gamma-Off" like explained above, they probably work in Poser-9, too.
