(Poser 8)

I want to change the skin tone to a gray color. With the Poser figures I can do that by pulling their image maps into photoshop or gimp and desaturating them to remove the brown tone. I cannot find the image maps for M4 to do this. Where might I look? Is this something (else) that I need to buy serarately?

Also, how do you remove the shorts? They really get in the way of loincloths, swim wear, etc.

Thank you!

Go to the material room and select a m4 material with a texture map, click the "Image Source" of the "Color Map". This brings of the Texture Manager. Click on the downward pointing black triangle left of the texture name. You will see a list of every texture including locations of the drives and folders they are located in.

You've got the DAZ textures applied and they're in the Textures/DAZ/Characters/MilMan folder. Both the standard and Hi res M4 DAZ textures aren't much chop and you'd be better off with 3rd party textures for him.

Whatever texture you choose don't forget to use the EzSkin python if you are using SSS. The decent M4 textures you'll have to pay for, but EzSkin if free.

You can desaturate the textures inside the material room if you want to. In the advanced view of the material room, right-click and select New node->Math->hsv. Connect it like in the attached picture. (You would have to do this for each material of M4 to greyscale him completely)

In the picture I have set the saturation value to 0 which has made the image texture for the torso greyscale, as seen in the quick render next to the materials.

@ ashley9803: The OP is using Poser 8, so recommending EZskin and SSS is a mute point.
