OOOOOOOOOOOk.

I am battling with a shader. I tried to make it so the reflection was soft. Barely there, but a raytraced reflection(think a white car) BUT...I keep droping down the reflection value but it keeps being overly strong on the case of the figure.

More mirror then glossy white car.

 

I am using IDL as I have the floor and a ring in the ceiling as the lights(ramped up ambient)

I have the raytrace bounces down to 2

 

Any suggestions before I pull out my hair?

Or buy the first Dreamland Models / BB car and use one of the singles from the mats provided... if you don't need to redistribute.

OH thank you. I figured it would be easy to make one but it keeps coming out more mirror then anything and its really annoying me. I keep adjusting the values and in the IDL lights it keeps coming out highly reflective.

 

EDIT: just got bagginsbill's car paints and they look perfect! now to try them out and see if they do the job.
