I can't even find any negative comments about it at Gallifrey Base, where the fans will grumble and bicker about anything, so it must be good.

Personally, I prefer to load up on spoilers before watching an episode.  I used to watch the Confidential Cut Down segments on the DVDs before watching the stories.  I read about things online long before ever seeing the source material.  I kinda like it that way.  But... Cage is odd.

He's also jealous of those of you who can see these things.  I'll be waiting for the full season DVD box set, with the Christmas specials included.  Which usually means December.

It was a fantastic series finale I thought.

Looking forward to November now...

I have about 7 episodes stacked up on my DVR, so the finale won't be seen here for some time.  :(

Did anyone notice a bad "jump edit" a little more than half way through? I had to rewind because I thought I had missed something...

Introducing John Hurt as the Doctor"

Hmmmmm

Overall a great episode....I think it could have been expanded into a 2hour movie.

I understand series 8 has finally been confirmed, and Matt Smith is apparently signed on for the season.  Is there an air date yet for the 50th anniversary special?  I can't find any specifics about that, so far.

Would it be spoiler-y to answer whether you -- those who have seen it -- think this episode truly proved to be a "game-changer", as was proclaimed?

Thought it was listed at the end of the episode as November 23rd, 2013...

D'Oh!  A perfectly predictable date, too.  😊  I should have been able to figure that out.  Dang.  They'll take away my Wild-Eyed Fan Card for this.  Then I'll only be a Well-Wisher and I won't be able to properly rant at the forums any longer.  It's a long climb back up that ladder.  :scared:

Okay.  This. Never. Happened.  :m_shhh:  :a_lipssealed:  :a_footmouth:  :b_lipssealed:

Awful awful awful.  The episode was not a game changer.

Glad this thread got bumped.

While not directly related to this specific episode, here's (hopefully) something of interest to Whovians in general...

Richard Marklew (a Blender modeler) is currently sharing a .OBJ formatted model of an "EarthShock" styled Cyberman helmet!

I know several people (including me) have been craving one for years!
