There is nothing in particular in the model that know that might cause problems that I know off. There are a number of trancparencies and refections but no refraction on the water.

Without seeing a general layout of the MATRoom and render settings, it is hard to assess why the app is stalling on the render.

If it's a PP2012 model, it may use material nodes which don't exist in P8/PP2010, such as SubSurfaceScatter. Just one possibility.
Poser 12, in feet.
OSes: Win7Prox64, Win7Ultx64
Silo Pro 2.5.6 64bit, Vue Infinite 2014.7, Genetica 4.0 Studio, UV Mapper Pro, UV Layout Pro, PhotoImpact X3, GIF Animator 5

I would check materials after loading the scene and look for missing nodes.
You can try using the hierarchy editor to hide most of the items in the scene and then make more visible if the renders work.

Oh.
It's bug (poser Hang).
Firefly/poser is awaiting a DLL used by another program (Outlook, VLC media player, AV, Chrome, flash, etc).
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=78254
Solution: Find program (use: procexp), kill process!
Sorry for my bad english.

It could be a conflict with the Flash player Chome uses; Are you using the external library in PP 2012? That uses Air, not Flash. However, I presume you can render other scenes in Poser 8/2010?

Hi Luckybears
I had this issue with P2010. Without IDL it would render-with IDL it would hang. I finally tracked it down to a particular texture using reflection (a bug). When I removed it-the render would complete. I do believe it was fixed in Poser2012
