Hi,

We seems to be a few persons with the same problem, maybe someone here knows how to handle that, you can read the whole story on ipisoft forum :

Thanks in advance for any tip, i've been trying to fix that for hours and didn't find any solutions so you're my last hope haha !

In Poser  open the keyframe editor and select the BODY and HIP actor. If there are no translations or rotation in either actor there is probably a problem in the Names in the bvh file.  A bvh file can be opened in a text editor and the list of body parts should be near the start.

Hi,

i tried to open a bvh file but didn't really understood what to do then. I can provide you a bvh file if it can help. My bvh files works well with genesis in daz, so i don't understand what's wrong with my character in poser... It could be a paid job to get me out of that hell because i'm beginning to be desperate by this problem...

So :

Between that, i've tried everything but can't  get better result than a character who's not moving in the space. To be clear, i lose the hip translations somewhere at the import in poser. No one has ever tried to do the same thing ?

strange, i sent one to you maybe half an hour after your PM. I have worked on that since and found that my bvh files works great with another character, the classic james skeleton from poser ; I guess now that the character is making trouble and not the import settings.

M3 skeleton (which is more or less the same as M4 skeleton) moves in the space ! Good enough for me :)

much thanks anyway !

so James ands M3 both work but M4 does not ?

thats curious.

you could load your bvh file and save it as an animated pose , then load that pose to M4 and see what happens.  I seem to remember a few body part names are different in the M4 and V4 figures.
