Hi.. I finally got Chrome...and have been test-using it here. I LIKE the way it somehow keeps the forum posts in their proper order/size!! I am viewing at 125% too... the post stay the right size and does not go under the right hand column of ads... in fact the interface is SO clean, there seems to be more room for everything!
I also opened FOUR pages of this site and never got the odd all white background that IE kept giving me (my MAJOR problem, especially when the gallery upload page went white and I could NOT see to select my merchant credit links). I am THRILLED with this so far....
I made a purchase, and the actual input of words and my render rewards went fine... BUT when I clicked to downloand, I had nothing...I mean I saw nothing- no download progress/information window! This was horrible, so I logged out of Chrome and went back to IE to do my downloads.
It almost seems as if Chrome is 'too simple'.... I can't change my magnifying level on the fly (I actually use that feature in IE a lot). And more importantly, my friend (who is watching my test/learning about Chrome closely) asked about SECURITY.... she said "does Chrome get security updates"? And I stopped and went...oh...uh... I have NO idea!
hmm and just now as I hit "preview post" the spacing is odd..a lot of empty space above my first paragraph, a lot between, and a lot at the end. I did not do this myself- I only chose 14px font so I could see what I was writing. Sorry for the "wasted space". (Edit: the final save and view of this post has no extra space at the top-weird.)
I do have to do some research, a LOT more I guess...but for now, at least for gallery viewing/uploading and for forum visits I will use Chrome. For purchases I better stick to IE. Any suggestions, advice or links to information on the use of Chrome would be greatly appreciated!! And to all at Rendo... this effort on my part to find a way to "be here" at Renderosity is HOW IMPORTANT this site is to me. I do NOT like change. :)
