Love those styles, and the Film Noir styles, when women looked like women and the occasional FBI director did as well.

Have you looked at PoserWorld?  I've seen similar there.  It's where I usually find what I want.

Doric

The "I" in Doric is Silent.

I know I'd buy them if someone made them.

Thanks again for the poserworld idea, I am a lifetime member of the site but forgot to check it out. There is something similar but would love to have one with the layers underneath like the top picture.

You don't say which figure you're looking to dress.  DAZ had a whole '50s theme going awhile back. Like this for Genesis:

And here's a freebie at ShareCG.  I believe there's a Genesis version, as well as V4.

I was after a dress for V4 in poser form.

Thanks for the links too.

You don't see crinolines for Poser figures often, at least for long skirts.  I'd guess it's hard to make multiple layers of a long skirt follow the pose.  With a single layer, you can use body handles, but if there are several layers, it's hard to pose the skirt without the underlayers poking through.  Especially for sitting and the like.

Two dresses come to mind, both at DAZ.  There's the Degas Ballerina dress, for V4, A4, etc.  It's a dress with a full ballet skirt, with at least two layers and textures that make it look like more.

And there's the old Morphing Cocktail Dress.  I think the skirt of that one has three layers.  It's for V3, but perhaps you could convert it.  Probably wouldn't be hard to fit just the skirt; it's not exactly form-fitting.

The tops don't look like what you want, but maybe you could combine the skirt from one item with the top from another.

Oh, and there's this one:

It's not quite the right shape - looks a little shorter and higher-waisted - but one of the textures is a little similar to the photo you posted.

I know for a fact that there is one forthcoming that is almost identical to the store here in likely the next  week or two.  It includes a few other bits of pin up goodness as well

Keep an eye on the store here :)
