Gallery Picture here (and I DO enjoy comments/reactions in my gallery, thanks all!!) http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2449450

I hope you enjoy...by the way, the primary means of defense for an Okapi is it's very powerful rear leg kick! Their primary predator (besides man) is the leopard in their rain forest Jungle home located in one tiny part of Africa.

I truly hope to get back to my "one a month" plan for my models/morphs!

Here they are! All my little birds! Stand alone Poser models.
Remember: These are some of my oldest models.   These birds do not fly.
They were made so the wings would be shaped/mapped and positioned properly for a "standing bird".

http://www.lynescreations.com/lynefree19.htm

the file is only 5.79 MB.  :)[

](http://www.lynescreations.com/lynefree19.htm) I would suggest you use Ken's wonderful birds for the flying versions! I do! :)

Because the models are so old, there is "map stretching" across the back and face on front view. Birds can be used for close-ups, PROFILE side is 'photo-real' !

a great website with size (and even sounds) information on birds is:

Oh your so welcome, and yes, thank you, feeling a bit better. I have to recover from my Fibro flair from the stress of the doctor's office visit...he was so behind I was in the waiting room for an HOUR! Not so nice, with my fear of germs...but I just sat in a corner with my face mask on and did my best...and best of all - it's DONE for another 6 months! :)  So now it's Poser and FUN stuff! Oh and I rewarded myself with some brand new TV series on DVD that have just come out! So me and my kitty cat get some quality time watching TV...well I watch and he cuddles! LOL!!

and the exciting new movie just out on DVD - EPIC!! it's got tiny fairys riding hummingbirds and flower people etc...done by the same company as Ice Age I think...but this one is so gorgeous (I don't go out to the movies, I watch trailers and wait for the DVD)... very excited to see this one! :)

Thanks for your kind words, means a lot.

shante posted Sat, 14 September 2013 at 10:45 AM

How do you mean updating them? I bought the pigs when the store was up and noticed a little stretching in the front of chests and heads. Is that going to be fixed in this update?

The same held true for the bovine pack. I love them, use both animal packs all the time  and you can see a recent render WIP with the white bull here:

http://shantetoo.deviantart.com/art/Pasiphae-and-the-White-Bull-387972096?q=sort%3Atime%20gallery%3Ashantetoo&qo=0

Might have to free register there to see it because there is a bit a very tasteful nudity but I think it is very nice image based on the story of Greek myth of Pasifae and the White Bull .

Though beautiful sets, both of them, the stretching in the face and top of the head and chest and rump makes it difficult to try and set up images with trying to avoid those views.

Lyne posted Sun, 15 September 2013 at 3:45 PM

Shante, I update the maps JUST to cover some "boo boos" of white spots where the map did not cover the mesh, and I often contrast, sharpen, or fix some colorations in my old maps. I DO NOT RE-WORK THE MESH/MAPS TO FIX THE STRETCHING! Yes, old maps had stretching and I always try to mention that in posts and on pages of pictures. I am NOT able to do all the work of re-laying out the mesh, digging out the old photos I took (if I could even find them) and completely re-doing the maps. Sorry if you misunderstood. I have been stating all along that I have updated the maps, and yes THERE IS STILL STRETCHING across faces, butts, tummies, chests, etc. depending on the colors.  It takes POST WORK to deal with that OR just pose them PROFILE TO THE CAMERA, or slightly 3/4 to the camera.

NOTE: on my store pages I always had truth in advertising, showing the tops, bottoms fronts and backs as well as the photoreal - profiles of my critters. So you did see what you were buying back then. Really sorry if it was not clear that my "updated maps" of all my freebie listings did not make it clear. Maps are updated as much as the low res will allow for color, contrast, levels, sharpness, etc.

It is BEST to re-download the sets because there ARE updates, new poses, better body shapes etc. - things that I have found from my original models. I am a perfectionist and I do try to give you the best of my work, WITH IN THE LIMITS OF MY HEALTH - bad shoulder and wrist joints.

and... they ARE FREE! :)

Lyne posted Sun, 15 September 2013 at 3:53 PM

Keep in mind these Wild Pigs (morphs/maps of the upcoming Farm Pig) were created in 2000 - Thirteen YEARS ago! They are mapped profile, therefore best shown profile to the camera, or three quarters, as there is map stretching on the face, top of back, rump and tummy.

I included the Wild Boar, though the map is very low res/quality...but good for distance views... There are two of the Collard Peccary character - one with fangs and mouth open, the other with no fangs so the mouth can be closed. (All fangs/tusks are props and can be deleted as desired...ie: the female Babirusa pig did not always have the huge tusks on on the face.)

I updated the maps and refined the body shapes the best I could with the limited old mesh, and the very old maps. Then I created all new poses for each pig.  NOTE! Use the pose NAMED FOR the type of pig so it keeps the body shapes properly.

I have to share, that living in Southern California, I will never forget as a child, being scared witless in the middle of the night on a family camping trip, when a herd of collard peccaries went running, squealing, grunting through our encampment! I half leaped, half fell out of a top bunk in our tiny camping trailer to catch a sight of these "monsters"! We had a tiny camping trailer, but I swear the tiny peccary pigs ran UNDER the trailer too! - Think of it, a tiny "tin" box sitting precariously on it's flimsy supports and a bunch of pigs pushing under and around it, leaving our camp in total disarray!

As I have always stated I LOVE YOUR OFFERINGS and have always done so. Ifi I wanted to complain I would have done it long ago when I first purchased the set.

I did musunderstand the updating of the figures a bit but honestly, NO BIIGIE. Just wanted to mention the few flaws hoping they were what you were updating.

Still wonderful products as alwyas.

I thank you for the gifts of them and for all the extra effort to re-offer them to us again ith whatevr updates you have managed to make.

I believe the first set I prchased on CD were .tif textures. Are these as jpegs going to appear as sharp as the old ones or should I keep using them(TIFs)  to maximize clarity of the textures in the renders?

BTW did you get to see the image of the white bull I posted here?

Yeah Wild pigs can get pretty big an nasty.

I worked on a cruise ship what seems like a lifetime ago porting in the West Indies and Carribean and one of the ports-of-call was Martinique. There is a nudist beach off the port of the city one can only access by boat. The island is regular tourist attraction and the nudist beack is on the sea-side of the island which you can only access slugging throught he dense forest or going around by boat.

We were on the tourist side carrousing on the beach when suddenly we heard a thunderous crash in the trees behind and out of the trees comes careenig a huge wild pig. I have never seen pigs in the wild and had no idea they got this big but it was the size of a pony. It grunted and leered and drooled and swung its head around for a while daring anyone to approach for a while then snorted lewdly and turning, wandered back into the forest. They can be pretty intimidating and it didn't even have tusks like you would see on a boar.

So, there was no wild boar in the first pack you originally sold?

Oh and one of the poses or morphs I wish this set had was one for making piglets and teats for the female. I wish I knew how to create and adjust meshes.  :(

Thanks for all your wonderful freebies!

Lyne posted Mon, 14 October 2013 at 12:14 PM

Finally my next Freebie is ready!  FARM PIGS, PIGLETS & POT BELLY PIG!

Note: you may have to "drop to floor", use the Y to raise or lower the posed figure, or even ROTATE the HIP on the Y to have the posed pig "profile on" to the camera (and the "right side" I set the pose up for) - depending on which version of Poser you are using! I set them up in Poser 7, but in my Poser 9 the poses seem to land the character differently!?  Sorry for the inconvenience but I did the best I could.

I have "updated" the maps - this means I have corrected some flaws my ancient computer (good grief, it was a CRT monitor! LOL!) did not show me, as well as brighten and sharpen up the maps. This is what I mean when I say I "updated" or "re-vamped" the maps of any and all the sets I have offered and am offering as Freebies now.

There is a lot of difference in lighting and the way mesh is "read" between Poser 7 (where I set up these Pig models and poses) and Poser 9.  The pink piglet on the left was rendered in Poser 9, the one on the right in Poser 7.

Poser 7 seems to show less faults in the mesh, ie: more forgiving, than Poser 9, but a lot depends on your lighting. Extreme poses will of course push the mesh beyond it's "breaking point" in some areas.... Still I could not resist doing some extreme poses, like "sitting" and the laying down poses. The adult pig can lay down, ready for a large litter of baby piglets to nurse! I have several piglet nursing poses included!

And no, there are no "teats" on the Mother Pig - that type of detailed morph would have been impossible with the simple type of mesh I had to work with, that many years ago. But hey, once you pile the baby piglets up, no teats would show? and if you REALLY want them, you can create them (well I know, not everyone can) in POST work- in a paint program. At least there are piglets! :)

Note that this mesh is very old! This means there will be map stretching, and some areas where the mapping does not ...how to say this... "meet itself" - parts of some triangles or rectangles of the mesh are mixed up. I have done my best to minimize this problem, but tiny problems do show up, as well as the map "stretching". I am only sorry my health - the condition of my joints does not allow me to create all new maps laid out in the newer "rug" styles.... but hey, they are all FREE! :)

I hope you enjoy! :)

My original Euoropean Mountian Goat (and baby!) (white furry wild high mountian goat)

Then turning to a couple of toon add ons, I will be offering my Diamond toon horse texture set first, and then Tumbleweed texture add on....

So forgive me a bit of delay, and stay tuned! :)

Hi Lyne, I hope you are well and enjoying life. I must thank you for your fabulous animals, which you so generously are making available. I have many of them. I use DAZ Studio 4.6 and sofar all the items have worked beautifully. However, I do have a small problem with the kangaroos. They have an odd head. Is there something I can do about that? I posted the question in the DAZ forum, the answer was that the person who dl'd the roos had no problem! So I thought to ask you directly, I must be doing something wrong.

Thanks for all your lovely work.

frodi posted Thu, 20 March 2014 at 5:24 PM

Hi Lyne, I have been given a solution by one of the DAZ Studio users. He suggested to set the scaling of the ears to 100%, and it works. So now I have proper roos, thank you again for these hoppers.

OK...sticking my head up here finally! :)   I will have THREE sets for you:

Tumbleweed Morphs & Maps

Diamond Map set

and the DAZ Mil horse Morph and Map set, which includes a foal made from the adult Mil Horse and a Unicorn!  This set is SO HUGE I had to divide it into 4 zips... and I have to have my beta tester check to make sure my little dyslexic brain did it all right.... before I offer it publicly.   I need to smash together some old pics of the 17 horse coat colors from my old store images to post in my gallery...

All this is to say, be on the lookout - Sometime this week, I will post/announce them when they are ready for download.

I don't know about you all, but I'm chomping at the bit to buy the new HiveWire3D horse, but in the meantime, in case you want to make your old Mil horse more versatile, I thought I would offer that set too.  :)

Sorry but many of the body shaping is also DIALED in with the full Mil horse dials...So I don't think this set would work very well with the LE horse. I don't even have that version. You could try it, but you may have very unexpected (not nice) results.

Most of my animal morph/map sets are built with the full version of the characters, unless they are MY "stand alone" original figures. If you go to my FREE page, just look for the words STAND ALONE. Those do not need any other figure to work.  BUT my DAZ Mil horse and the Wild Cat, for example, MUST have the full version of the orignal character to work.

Shante - can you pm me and let me know what kind of problems you're having accessing HiveWire's site?  I'll see if I can help.

There are a number of textures that just came out a few days ago :)

The Draft Horse (morph and Clydesdale texture) and CWRW's first texture pack which has 5 texture sets - Belgian, Cream Draught, Gypsy Vanner, Persheron, and Shire.

If you get both of these now, you will get the Beast Horse morph for free (added to your downloads next week).

There's more stuff coming, but we're a small group over there and there are, unfortunately, only so many hours in the day.  If we could suspend that, it would be great lol ;).  Everyone's patience is appreciated while waiting for new products!

Poser?  Did you look in the Material folder? :)  We generally don't use mat poses unless the product is for older versions of Poser where the files might be used by DS3 users who can't use mc6 files.  Anything Poser for HiveWire products will only have mc6 Material files.

Shante - can you either pm me or start another thread or go to the HiveWire forums to ask more questions about the HW Products?  I kind of think we shouldn't be hijacking Lyne's thread :)

I also have to call ATT and find out if they are discontinuing DSL in my area and IF I am giong to be FORCED to go to Uverse... if that is the case, then I have to get THAT hassle taken care of before I can go back and go over some of my other store items and also check into releasing some of my dear friend's products too....she and I have been talking about it and she is very open to it... but it still depends on my time and energy to prepare her items for download... She did the incredibly realistic foods/meals and the tree/rock druids for one thing...

Stay Tuned!

Well ATT DSL tech said "they don't have any plans right now to discontinue DSL in my area"...AND I heard back from Laurie!! I CAN offer my Leopard appaloosa and my "champagne/palomino" colors for Harry Free! yay!

Now just to get time to FOCUS, write the readme, and zip them up... be WARNED! They will have a README that is VITAL to use... as there will ONLY be the single jpg horse coat map! You MUST USE (AT LEAST) CWRW's default mat that came with Harry or in this case the light cream draft color as a base for ALL settings except for coat and hooves! I will not only have a text file readme but sceen capture jpgs to SHOW YOU the settings in the material room of my Poser 9!  You can use the pretty light mane and tail from the cream draft or unicorn's. I am NOT doing any mane and tails either. Sorry but this is to accomplish two things... make life eaiser for me, and inspire sales for Laurie.  Her maps/mats for Harry are "to die for" and make a great base/bump and specularity for mine!

At least I am closer to being able to do this for you. You can go to my gallery anytime and look at my WIP for the appy, and the palomino/champagne colors! :)

The  poser horse is VERY OLD... and no, I don't have any "templates".... some of PlanIT3d's links are bad...afraid the site is not doing too well. It's better to use the Mil. Horse or the HiveWire horse now.

I will look into this, now you have me wondering what is going on.

Edit:  Ohhh you mean these downloads:

http://www.planit3d.com/source/poser/lyne2.html

There is NO mat- no horse coat colors for this freebie. It is ONLY the cr2 character with the horse MORPHS in it to make the many different breeds and a foal. I am sorry. I have no textures coats or MATs for this. I only created the MORPHS a long long time ago.

Hope this helps to clarify.

Thank you for ripid reply,Lyne.I wanted to use many horse model in my picture,so the model should be less polygon as posible. Then, poser horse was selected.

Yes,I meant that download link, and in that link there is APPY Texture Map download link. But,the texture was not applied Ulimate Poser Horse Morph Set.

I understood your circumstance,so I gave up to use that model.

I want to know if the model was morphed, the template of it wolud be changed from the original one.

thak you again for your so many animal models.

I got the oRez animals by this artist. I wish th horse was mapped so it could take the higher rez files for the other horses even the P4 horse would help for this occasional closer views.

thak you for advice,PilotHIGH.But lorez horse has more polygons than P4 horse,as said Shante. So, it is difficult to choose Lorez horse in my situation.so as money. It will be better to make texure for Lyne's Ulitimate poser horse, but in presence it is in failure.

shante posted Sun, 03 August 2014 at 3:02 AM

no actually i have textures for the old p4 horse that look more realistic than the textures for the daz lores horse. i don't know about the mesh density or polycount but the default textures are not very good. that is why it would be nice getting the remapped to use higher rez textures at least.

what do you mean in failure?

I picked up the HW horse too.

I am looking for the DAZ MilHorse and/or the HW Horse for a texture/horse morph combo for an American Indian pony and/or a Mongolian Steppes Pony which are smaller stockier horses with scruffy shaggy coarse fur resembling a winter coat.

Could I hope for any hope of finding anything like this offered in the future for either of these Poser horses?

Hi Lynn!

GHod to rrad all is better fro you.

Thanks so much for the Shades of Gray tex set. I had to reload The Hivewire horse due to some weird memory problems with the Beast. I asked a few people over at the site but noone got back to me. So, I wondered if you might know. Is the mesh density of the base Harry more than the MilHorse 1 base figure? Seems to take sooo much longer to render and work with than I am used t with the milHorse 1 with ALL the morphs added.

Also, Read an article of the now extinct Quagga, a family member of teh Zebra which had very unusual body shape/proportions as well as lovely skin color characteristics. If you are aware of this lovely creature which according to the article is making a comback thanks to the dedicated efforts of a lovely person in S. Africa who has set up a reserve and through some genetic studies has ben trying to cross breed the cosest Zebra familg gNome and that of a horse to try very effectively, to re-establish t as a living breed again insted of an extinct one.

Would love to find an FBM and texture of the most common coat colors. Since you do this sort of thing and know the folks at HiveWire, is there any way do you think, to instill any interest in adding this set to upcoming available for Harry and/or the MilHorse?

Also though white the texture for the unicorn for Harry is not Albino. Any way that can be made available as well? The difference is there is a pale pink skin showing in areas of the horse fur showing beneath the coat (muzzle, around the eyes and mouth and inner ears for instance) and the paler very light blue or white cast eyes missing from that texture that would give a more acurate appearanc of Harry (or the MilHorse) actually being Albino rather than White coated.

I am fascinated by Albino creatures and have been trying to create an Albino tex for the DAZ Bison following an old Bronso western which had an Indian Spirit of an Albino Buffalo, but not being too good in PhotoShopI absolutely am NOT having any luch getting it to look right.

Sorry Shante, I don't have the time or energy to take on doing any more Harry textures at this time...it takes SO much work... I MIGHT in the far future, hard to say...and no, the folks at Hive have their hands FULL with all the things on their plate, without trying to get them to do another type of horse... maybe someone with morphing and mapping skills will do this in the future... but who knows...it's a very "niche" type of thing... it is a very interesting animal, but... !

Life Requires Assembly and we all know how THAT goes!

Lyne posted Mon, 03 November 2014 at 12:54 PM

I got all the final tweaks done...then spent time doing detailed screen caps of 'how to' apply the new texture map....once you have it applied, you can save the new CHARACTER to your noodle folder so he's all set to go... So finalizing the "readme" files will take a bit more time... meanwhile I had some FUN posing noodle... found out he has a lot of LIMITS and spent time um...opening each dial and making (for example) a limb part movement more "open" from say, 30 to 130...so I could pose the way I want to... I mean being a cat lover, I DO know what I can do....so sadly I can't give out new poses as I'd have to give out a new cr2 with the dials opened up... and I just don't have time for encoding, etc... but ANY one who knows cats and has the time to increase the body part's dial limits can have even more fun with this great toon cat! :)
ANYWAY, soon as I have the files all set, I'll upload, set him up and get that information posted!

SEE MY GALLERY for a new picture! :) Edit: and I am also having Vilian beta test my Farrow Morph/Map pack, and will offer that when "we" are all done! :)

This was a bit of a hairy challenge, but I am pretty pleased with the results. Pose shown here is MINE, done by 'loosening up' the dials of the involved body parts...not available as a Free Pose. But YOU can loosen up the dials and pose as desired - just double click any body part dials, and increase the positive and negative limits! :)

I hope this set works in all Posers. (NOT USED or tested in Daz Studio).  If any one finds any glitches, please IM me here at Rendo.  I did not have anyone to beta test my Farrow runtime. I took the files right out of my own Poser 9, where they do work for me.
