Black & white, sepia, cyanotype, greyscale.
When the your pictures do not need colour
to speak a thousand words.

Have fun in your digital darkroom!

Image size: No larger than:
800pixels X 600pixels
and 200KB

Hi everybody,

Here my first try,
Which I hope I have understood everything right.
I suppose, it's not just black and white only, but intended one single color.

The photos are as I took them, I hope a little green is allowed? (at that zebra photo, the background).

p.s. dear Carin, so nice to see your lovely new avatar ♥

For clarification, this is not me, because I have a little bit more freckles.
LOL.

(btw I guess it's the skeleton of a giraffe)

Here is two captures that i took this morning.

I converted a few captures to Monocrome using my photo editing program that came with my Canon camera.

My first a seed of the Cycad.

To my amazement I now see I received no messages from the challenge. I thought, everyone is on vacation, that this would be the reason.

And WOW,  I find so many beautiful uploads, too much to mention!
So, my congratulations to all.

I did my best, despite my good camera is being repaired again, so I only have an old 'fake thing', grrr. ;-)

That's a Dutch saying, for if you warn someone that you will attack him.
So, you don't need to be afraid of me :).

And, of course, these are not my real teeth,
because they are all still where they should be: in my wide smile.

No art -teeth (dentures) in my mouth, but on the wall.

My second a bolt forming part of a bench situated at Jan Cilliers park. I beleive someone ripped of and stole one of the wooden strips which this bolt holds in position.

Finally I can post an entry. My server died while I was on vacation and I spent the entire weekend rebuilding it from scratch.

Anyway, while on vacation I went to the Zolder racing circuit in Belgium. It was the 50th aniversary of the tracks existence. It's not easy finding a good spot to take pictures though.

Here's another one from Zolder. Numerous old and new (super)cars were presented around the circuit. This is a closeup of the nose of a classic Bentley R type Saloon from 1954.

Don't use the new blur tools much in CS6, but I thought it would be cool for this challenge to have a bash at it.

Some great images in this one.  I mised last months "Transport" theme, I could have had some nice ones for that, Bummer!

This one is for Bonita:  We drove from Council Grove to Strong City, through Emporia and Ottawa to Paola on May 2nd this year.  This is Hwy 177 between Council Grove and the Tallgrass Preserve.  And yes, that's snow in Kansas in May!  :)  I love this part of Kansas.  It's beautiful, even in the snow!

Kansas where the roads go on forever..I miss it but wouldn't trade all these trees for all that flat lol.  I love this Tara and the snow just adds to the "lonesome highway" feel.

@ Bonita - Me too.  I love Kansas, but Washington is home.  I get a little antsy when I get too far away from salt water and tall trees.  :)

A new week and Two new captures for this challenge.

My first a moon capture captured with my fujifilm super zoom.

Cropped the picture.

Did some noise removal.

Converted to gray scale using irfanview.

Clicked on auto contrast in Picasa 3 to get the black effect of the background and the moon pure white.

My second a capture of a white Poppy in a garden which is situated on route to the offices where my wife is working.

Converted to gray scale using Irfan view.
